  1. Fucking hell. Torres, did you rate Riise?
  2. Not a bad shout, I lumped in Chelsea and Bolton to make it interesting.
  3. The difference being it was settled in the courts though. That's why I find it unnecessarily harsh. If it's true, that is. The daft thing is, I'm not convinced he'd have been found guilty anyway. Eh? He battered a guy infront of about 30 people, how would he have not been found guilty? Law ain't your strong point is it? Come to think about it you don't really appear to have any strong points. No it isnt. I am more numerically minded, please explain. Read alex's post below yours.

Doesn't do us a lot of good does it? That's all I'm worried about.

Did the FA or Man U waiting until Cantona had been in court before taking action? Did they fuck, so they can forget about suspending him while he's playing for us.
  8. Don't do second page, yesterdays news tbh Says the man posting an interview from 4 days ago.
  9. I agree. People are desperate for overnight solutions though. Despite them not having worked in the past. Whoa there Neddy, Ashley's done an okay job of sorting said finances out, but what's the point if you're unable to compete at the end of the table where you actually make money? We could at least have bulked up the squad a bit even if it wasn't with top star players. I never expected us to get enough top players in to challenge the top four but there's plenty of good squad players out there we could have brought in by now. I've said before that you don't make money without spending it and that part of football is no different to any other business. And for the record I'm pretty sure transfers can't be that bloody difficult to sort, unless you're a penny pinching, tight-arsed fat southern miser. Short sighted Im afraid. You are going to have to consolidate before moving forward. Personally I don't want a season of consolidation, I want a season of going forward. Making savings and investing in players aren't mutually exclusive. Ashley has paid off the debt which has saved us a lot of money and secured the future of the club but the fact is that we need investment in transfer fees to even tread water in the league. Throwing money at the problem hasn't worked before and I'm not against bringing in a number of players for reasonably low fees as Spurs did not so long ago iirc, but I want those players to at least be able to challenge for a first team spot. I applaud the club's efforts to develop the youth team but we do need a few quick fixes as well and if we don't see them arriving before the end of the transfer window then we will struggle next season.
  10. They took the piss out of us before and are looking to do it again. If we're taking a stand then fair enough, I can understand that.
  11. That depends on too many factors ... at liverpool you need a starting 16. Last time I checked it was 11 players who started a game. So, would you have £19m Robbie Keane in your starting XI? Not at the moment, no. I like the system we use (4-2-3-1) and Torres is the 1. I do see him having a great impact though. So you've spent £19m+ on a squad player? I don't see how you can be happy about that.

  13. Well he's up there with Guthrie on pre-season performances then, good sign for you. I can see the familiarity between the two They know each other well then?
  14. But you don't rate him as good enough to get in your starting XI?
  15. You admire a diving, cheating twat? Sounds about right.
  16. to buy better players of course Torres what was your opinion on the game last night and were you impressed with Robbie Keanes "performance"? He only played a half but looked lively. He seemed kinda nervous and fluffed a good chance; will prove to be a terrific signing for us though. A terrific squad player of course. Good ... squad player.
  17. Is that pretty much the whole house up for nomination then? As per usual it'll be one of the 'personalities' voted out and the boring non-entities will survive.
  18. Wow, where do you get such ITK knowledge, no one could have predicted that.
  19. It doesn't seem like a healthy way to live if you ask me, especially if you're an alcoholic.
  20. The point you make about support is the core of this whole thing. It's not just about him turning up on some training ground somewhere. I agree but giving him support is useless unless he has something to build on, something to give him a purpose in life so to speak. We're in a position to do that for him. The way I see it is that he needs something in his life because at the moment I'd imagine that his life is rather empty and he is filling it with alcohol. Every time you hear of him he seems to be living in a hotel, it's obvious that he has nothing concrete to build his life around and he doesn't know anything else apart from football so if the club can help him in any way then I think it would be a great gesture for them to do so.

don't really like it myself, would prefer to know he had his wages docked/slashed or whatever if effectively fck all has happened to him i'd not be pleased, guess we wont know till somethings leaked None of the media's business to be honest, best to keep it all in house imo, give them nothing.
  22. He's got a fucking cheek.
  23. we also had the highest percentage of increase on house prices in europe which always helps =D Declining to mention you have by far the cheapest housing in the British Isles. We have the third most expensive housing in Britain. Try again.
