  3. Sin City director Robert Rodriguez will relaunch the Predator science fiction horror franchise with a new movie, according to trade magazine Variety. His script for Predators will bring back the cult alien hunter introduced in the 1987 original, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Variety said. The director is also reported to be co-directing a film based on a character featured in his 2007 movie Grindhouse. The knife-wielding ex-policeman Machete appeared in a mock trailer in the film. The full-length feature will see Machete intent on revenge after being wronged by a corrupt senator, Variety said. A Predator sequel, in 1990, was followed by the crossover Alien vs Predator film in 2004 and its 2007 follow-up, Alien vs Predator: Requiem.

  8. Make Monday Black And White Night! NEWCASTLE United fans will make it a black and white night all across St. James' Park on Monday against Portsmouth. With the Magpies going for all three points the famous Geordie support will play a crucial part in helping Alan Shearer and the team in their battle to stay in the Premier League. Many Newcastle fans will remember the end-of-season encounter with Pompey at Gallowgate in 1992, when a late David Kelly winner helped the side successfully pull away from the bottom of the old Division Two. Those involved still recall the great atmosphere generated that day - and it will be needed again on Monday. In the build-up to kick-off against Portsmouth, Toon fan and opera ace Graeme Danby will again be whipping up the crowd by performing The Blaydon Races on the pitch. The stadium will also be filled with 52,000 black and white cards plus 20,000 flags to create amazing scenes as the players take to the pitch. And 1,000 scarves will be handed out in the Leazes End singing corner where fans will be able to recreate some of the unforgettable atmosphere witnessed at Alan Shearer's Testimonial night back in 2006.
