The thing that fucks me off about living where I do the most is the lack of Newcastle United items in sports shops, even Sports World, you can buy all sorts of Spurds, Arsenal, Liverpool and ManUre paraphernalia, but not one item concerning the toon.

ENIC is owned by Joe Lewis, one of the richest men in Britain, the only surprise is that they have never splashed the cash before.

You musn't have played many before then. Battlefield 2 for the PC is possibly the best game ever in my opinion, I've played Bad Company on the PS3, but I don't think its best suited to that platform, those kind of games a best played with a keyboard and mouse.

What the fuck did he do on the wedding night to evoke that reaction? Probably called out Robbie Elliott's wifes name when he was on the vinegar strokes

The report on the radio said they were arguing during the first honeymoon breakfast.

Michael Chopra, the Sunderland footballer, and his wife Heather Swan, of ITV2's Wags Boutique, have split up just one month after they got married. Miss Swan has kicked the striker out of their £1m home and told friends the marriage is over. The couple, who have a five-month old son, married on Friday June 13 in a £250,000 ceremony at Orchardleigh House in Somerset. They appeared to hit a rocky patch early on as 30 guests apparently saw them having a row at breakfast the next day. Mr Chopra, who earns £30,000-a-week at Sunderland, returned early from their honeymoon to Capri in the Mediterranean and Barbados, leaving Miss Swan alone in the Caribbean. A source said: "Heather is absolutely devastated by the collapse of the marriage. She thought they would be together forever. Instead they had their first argument 24 hours after the ceremony and fought like cat and dog in Capri. "They booked into Barbados's Sandy Lane hotel for the second leg of the honeymoon but in the end Heather went alone." Mr Chopra is reportedly staying at a rented address about 15 miles away from the martial home. The 24-year-old, who joined Sunderland from Cardiff for £5 million last summer, has had several nights out in his home city of Newcastle since returning from his honeymoon. Miss Swan, 24, refused to comment yesterday, but Mr Chopra said: "I've still got my wedding ring, haven't I?" Michael Chopra returned early from their honeymoon

Newcastle United have handed former defender Robbie Elliott a position on the club's coaching staff. Elliott, 34, accepted an offer to become the fitness and conditioning coach and will work alongside senior fitness coach Mark Hulse. As a player Elliott made 188 appearances for Newcastle during two spells at St James' Park. The Gosforth-born full-back also represented Bolton, rivals Sunderland, Leeds United and Hartlepool.

Newcastle United's faltering summer recruitment drive was knocked back once again yesterday when Anton Ferdinand pulled out of transfer negotiations with the club. The West Ham defender was one of a group of players the club's London-based transfer team had hoped to sign. Although West Ham were prepared to part with the former England Under-21 international, Ferdinand himself was understood to be less than keen on moving to the North-east. It leaves Newcastle in a predicament, with their only two signings in the transfer window the Argentine winger Jonas Gutierrez from Real Mallorca and Danny Guthrie, the Liverpool midfielder who was on loan at Bolton Wanderers last season. While Ferdinand, 23, was hardly likely to change the club's fortunes single-handedly, Newcastle are badly short of cover in central defence. They had counted on signing the Manchester City captain, Richard Dunne, but that deal has come to nothing with the new manager Mark Hughes' arrival at Eastlands. Given that this was intended to be a summer of rebuilding at St James', the job still looks far from done. In terms of defenders, David Rozenhal, Stephen Carr and Peter Ramage have all left this summer. Newcastle's transfer business is conducted from London by the three-man team of Dennis Wise, Tony Jimenez and Jeff Vetere. Their views on transfers have not always chimed with those of the club's manager, Kevin Keegan, although they were in agreement over Peter Crouch, who also turned down Newcastle. At this rate, it would appear that they are being forced to look a long way down their list of potential targets.

Jenas looks like he is really enjoying himself. It was JJ's idea. 'Come on lads, lets all strip and get wet together!' "will my mobile be safe up there "?

Talksport have a habit of sacking presenters in a kneejerk fashion, they ditched Tommy Boyd in similar style, in my opinion he was the best broadcaster they've had on the station.
