I think the current SKY+ systems have 80gig drives, which should give 40hrs recording time, the only way of getting any of the material off is via a VCR or DVD recorder,IE play the recorded material whilst recording using the other device, I changed the hard drive in my system once and I tried the old SKY+ drive in a PC and I'm pretty sure I couldn't open any of the files to view.

I think every time we have watched Newcastle use 4-3-3 it hasn’t worked, because of the simple reason that Martins is not comfortable playing out there and if you are going to play that system your players have to be very comfortable and disciplined, and Martins is not. He is drifting inside all the time, so when you want your spaces out wide and leave the man down the centre and join him, he is there too early. Sam Allardyce has not got the personnel to play 4-3-3 at the moment, not the way he wants to play and with the players he has got. Maybe in the January transfer window he will look to change that. They have grafted in the last few games, and if you graft eventually your quality will come out. Okay, we didn’t see too much of it today, but they were away from home and their away record has been pretty poor, so what they had to do was graft out a result today, sometimes you have to. Newcastle a month ago would have lost that game, or they wouldn’t have carried on until the 90th minute when they got the penalty, and I think that is the difference, that is the positive thing he will get out of it. The team are looking a lot fitter now, he has got the likes of Joey Barton back, Michael Owen to come back, Viduka, and it is all about getting time on the pitch. He is still struggling with injuries because he has lost Taylor now for a few weeks, he has had to rush Cacapa back, but the rest of the team are getting some time on the pitch and the training ground.

Check out the fixture list and start making some appointments.

Maybe so, but I wish he would stop throwing and passing to the opposition............and making mistakes. Maybe if Jose was given a run of games he might prove to be the left-back Allardyce wanted and paid good money for. Zoggy looking the best left back this season ? You're having a fucking laugh ! Zoggy's looked good going forward, thats because thats his prefered position, and looks natural when doing it unlike Milner who has to move in-field to get the ball on to his right foot.
-
Jose is not getting a game because Zoggy has looked the best left back this season going forward and when he does make a mistake he has the pace to get back and try and rectify the situation. And Jimbo grow the fuck up, all you seem to be doing now a days is having a go at the big man. Martins never looked like scoring or setting up anything at all today. I don't care if he was played out of position if he stuck to staying out wide instead of going into the middle he would have done more damage. Just like his shooting he can put in a very good fast cross. We have finally managed to get some luck on our side in the last couple of games. There has been a few games this season when we should have won a pen and not been given one. I must concur. Sick to death of hearing "Three points but papered over the cracks" Thats because you're in denial mate. Sooner or later the penny will drop and you'll realise that Allardyce is a fucking shite manager, and you'll hop on my bandwaggon.

I'd take Hughes over Allardyce in a heart beat.

Having players playing in positions where they are comfortable in is a good way of minimising poor possesion, passing and shit control in my opinion, once again we saw a match ruined by players wasted out of position.
-
Utterly delighted with the win, but once again the result papers over the cracks of woeful team selection, we are grossly underachieving all due our best players playing out of a position.
-
Fuck me, lets strike him a medal !
-
A pen, Allardyce thanks his lucky stars again
-
Viduka on for Martins, I continue to marvel at Allardyce's ineptitude.

Martins is having a good game though. Still more likely to score than Smith though, it will probably be another two years before he gets another goal... Smith's more likely to control the ball though. Do people STILL think Martins is any good btw? Had to say at the moment, lets judge him when he's played in position eh ?
-
Have we had a shot on target yet ?
-
Fucking crap, we are no better than Fulham who are possibly as poor as the likes of Derby, and this is all down to that fat twats team selection, Martins, N'Zogbia and Milner are totally wasted in their current positions, and Smith and Geremi are just shite as usual yet are picked once again regardless. Better get used to this derge whilst his fatness is at the helm, if this was Souness or Roeder in charge folk would be up in arms.

Really Rob you disapoint me, I thought you were going to say you helped dig the foundations.

Quoted for truth, possibly my favourite film ever, I remember not being sure if I loved it or hated it whilst watching it for the first time, but the final scene just knitted it all together perfectly, a film I will never tire of watching.

Just installed Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) Release Candidate, although its only a beta its already improved my system, it no longer takes 10 mins to delete an empty folder or to move files, so far so good, shame its taken a year to happen.

No, that's the only measure of a teams success. A team could put in top rate performances but lose out to poor officiating, poor luck, and facing teams whose performances outshine their own. Equally a team could perform poorly, and still walk away with all three points... we've done it before. Ultimately, Football is a results business, I'll not take any consolation after a match knowing that we ran 120km over the course of a match if we lost.
