  1. Considering your "taste" that’s a glowing endorsement for the movie tbh. Can you honestly say that the three LOTR films weren't disappointing? Yes I can, I thought they were all fantastic.

  7. Ah 99' was a very good year! Anyway ... doesnt seem to be on puretna yet, only a matter of time though I guess if it's out there. Looks like the lass from Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. Don't go there...... just don't go there........
  8. The level at which people are officially obese according to BMI is surprisingly low, prior to my weight loss in preparation of my surgery this year I was officially obese (just) but thankfully I've managed to just about keep it off since. My Mrs on the other hand isn't so luckly, since having the kids she's piled on the pounds and is now unhealthily obese, but it is linked to depression, and she takes comfort in food, but is in the situation where she eats because she is depressed, and is depressed because she eats, even though I do my best to influence her it is way beyond any words I can say. It is a visious downward spiral that I fear will cost her her health to the ultimate point. But as Dan said, fuck em, they are disgusting and only have themselves to blame.
  9. The "Blue chip" company I was working for used to give us a £10 Tesco voucher. woooooo
  10. Thats what scares me, the likes of Milner and Taylor should be great prospects for the future but I fear they will be corupted by the dross around them and the shite coaching.
  11. There just doesn't seem to be any middle ground with Milner, he's either excellent or woeful.
  12. Nobby Solano confessed he had a couple of sleepless nights before last night's game with Celta Vigo worrying about his Brazilian opponent Nene. But it was Nene who had the nightmare and was eventually substituted as Solano inspired United to their UEFA Cup victory at St James' Park. Earlier in the week Glenn Roeder had insisted to me that he would not ask Solano to stand in at right-back because of the threat of Nene. But the United boss did decide to employ the Peruvian in that position, and Solano admitted: "I had a couple of nights tossing and turning in bed worrying about Nene. "But everything worked out all right in the end and no-one is happier than me that we have nine points out of nine and we are currently topping our group in the UEFA Cup." Solano has played at full-back before for United in an emergency and he has chalked up a few games there for Peru as well. And he admitted: "With so many first-team players injured you sometimes have to make sacrifices and I was happy to fill in at right-back against Celta Vigo. "I thought I might be OK because of the way Spanish teams play. They are not as aggressive as teams in the Premiership and that made my job a bit easier." Of the current United playing staff, Solano and Shola Ameobi are the two with the most goals - 46 each - but the amiable South American wants all this to change. He added: "I want to see our strikers like Antoine Sibierski, Oba Martins and Albert Luque getting among the goals more. "But the main thing is that we have to push on from Celta Vigo and Arsenal against Portsmouth on Sunday." When I asked Nobby where he would be playing against Pompey, he replied: "Anywhere."
  13. Solano was a breath of fresh air at rightback lastnight, I though he and Milner linked up well and looked poised and in control unlike Carr.... I'd love to see Solano picked for Sunday's match but I suspect to be disapointed once again.
  14. Is that a Chav Burberry Amp ?
  15. If anyone has dodgy links then PM's only please.
  16. Just missed out on retaining the Premiership with Chelsea, lost out on the last day, Liverpool sneaking it by one point. Ballsed up in the transfer market, managed to get Kerlon, but for some reason I've managed to sign him without a permit, so now I can't play him and he refuses to play for my feeder clubs, so now I'm fucked !
  17. There was a 5 aside match at the summer piss up but I think this has now been abandoned since last time a child invaded the dressing room......
  18. Agreed, but I think I'd rather be blown up than be forced to rape members of my family.
  19. I think the ruling is you are not allowed to be in view of the pitch if you are drinking alcohol, ie if you are in a corporate box they make you draw the curtain if you order a beer.
  20. A week after Lee Clark slated Luque's efforts on the training ground, comes this little gem from Glenn Roeder: Newcastle United boss Glenn Roeder says he has not given up on out-of-favour striker Albert Luque. The Spaniard has endured a nightmare spell with The Magpies since his £10 million move from Deportivo La Coruna back in August 2005. The 28-year-old's situation has prompted speculation that Luque will leave the North East giants in the January transfer window, with French club Bordeaux and Spanish side Real Betis having been linked recently with the marksman. Despite the reported uncertainty over Luque's future, Roeder hopes Thursday's Uefa Cup home clash with Spanish Primera Liga side Celta Vigo will allow the striker the chance to turn his season around. "I would never give up on a player and I haven't given on Albert - that would be poor management," Roeder said in the Daily Star. "He must be frustrated at how it's gone here after what he achieved in Spain, but in the last few weeks, I've noticed a big improvement in him. "I've not found him to be a bad pro, he is a decent enough lad and he is now working really hard in training. "As a manager, you're always looking for games that might give players an edge and get their juices flowing. "For Albert, this is one against a side who used to be local rivals. I'm sure he's thinking 'I'd love to play against them'. "Maybe this is the one performance that can make it all fall into place for him." Luque's team-mate Nolberto Solano has echoed the sentiments of Roeder, claiming Luque would relish facing Celta on Thursday. "Albert's had some very hard times here, but I think he'll get his chance and I know he'd love to play, especially against a Spanish team," Solano said in The Sun. "He wants to prove to the manager what he can do, he's waiting for his chance. He's a great team-mate and someone who smiles all the time. "He's been low but all he wants is the chance to show the manager he can be a success."
