HHmmm don't think I'd go that far, I watched the pilot episode a few weeks ago, didn't blow my hair back, I thought Heroes was better, I'll certainly be catching the rest of that series.

A drunken Chinese tourist says he bit a panda who attacked him after he jumped into a zoo enclosure to "hug" the bear. Zhang Xinyan, 35, had drunk four draught beers before deciding to enter the Beijing Zoo pen belonging to six-year-old male panda Gu Gu. The startled Gu Gu bit both legs of his intruder, who responded by biting "the panda on its back", Mr Zhang was quoted by state media as saying. Mr Zhang said he had not realised pandas could be violent. He told the Beijing Morning Post that he had come to the Chinese capital "only to see the pandas". "The seven-hour train ride was exhausting, and I drank bottles of beer when I arrived then had a nap," he added. The newspaper said Mr Zhang had a "sudden urge" to touch Gu Gu with his hand, so he jumped over the waist-high railing into the enclosure. "When he got closer and was undiscovered, he reached out to hug it," the newspaper added. Mr Zhang was bitten first on his right leg, and then on his left. Newspaper photographs showed him lying on a hospital bed with blood-soaked bandages over his legs. "I bit the panda on its back but its fur was too thick," Mr Zhang recalled. He went on: "No one ever said they would bite people. I just wanted to touch it." Zoo spokeswoman Ye Mingxia said the panda was unharmed and they were not considering punishing Mr Zhang yet. "He's suffered quite a bit of a shock," she told the Associated Press by telephone.

F1 cars max out at about 210mph, or that seems to be the fastest they get to on the circuits. 280 is psycho airforce pilot speeds. I just meant in terms of driving ability - I'm sure Schumacher could cope better than Hammond is all I'm saying - even if it wasn't driver error the ability to deal with a crash would make the difference surely? At that speed from an engineering point of view anything could have happened !! Lets just wish the bloke well rather than arguing the toss over stuff we honestly don't know.

Top Gear Man In Crash Updated: 21:00, Wednesday September 20, 2006 Richard Hammond, one of the presenters of TV's Top Gear programme, is reportedly in critical condition following a car crash. Mr Hammond was hurt while filming an edition of the show and taken to Leeds General Infirmary. He was reportedly trying to set a new land speed record for England in a jet-powered Vampire car when it overturned. Mr Hammond was said to have been reaching speeds of up to 280mph as the accident happened. Firefighter Dave Ogden, who witnessed the crash, told Sky News that the 36-year-old presenter was able to speak as he was taken out of the wreckage of the car. Inspector Mike Thompson, of North Yorkshire Police, said officers were dealing with the incident at the airfield northeast of York where the filming was taking place. He said: "At 5.45pm this evening we received a report via the fire service of a male person trapped in what was described as an overturned jet car which had been driven on the airfield. "The male occupant has received serious injuries and has been airlifted to hospital at Leeds." A spokeswoman for the BBC, which produces Top Gear, said: "The incident happened quite recently and the focus of our attention is on Richard at this stage." Mr Hammond, who lives near Cheltenham with his wife Amanda and their two daughters, has also presented Sky's Brainiac and shows including Time Commanders and Petrolheads. More follows ...

Ditto! I was often 'clipped' by my Dad, deservedly so most of the time although sometimes I felt it was a bit over the top but I thought from an early age that there has to be a better way of disciplining and teaching respect and so far, I've never come close to even wanting to raise my hand to them. I'm not a parent and that's fair enough if you've got kids that do respect what you've got to say etc. But I wouldn't hesitate to lay the smacketh down if the situation called for it. I fucking HATE watching shows like Supernanny cos I just want to climb through the telly and bat the little fuckers. spare the rod spoil the child I say Agreed Although I don't clout my kids, they get punished suitably if they step out of line.

Milli Vanilli tbh.

I've never laid a hand on any of my 3 kids, I've always done my utmost to instil discipline, manners and respect to my kids and I'd be disappointed in myself if I ever resorted to hitting any of them.

Its about the games as much as the machine, if you prefer Nintendo syndicated games over Xbox then that should make your decision for you.
