  1. Gonna be staylor... if barton goes.
  2. I would'be voted for Gary Speed as he used to do the defensive work in our relatively successful champions league side. He seemed a bit of a ball winner but also added a few goals with his late runs into the box on corners. Started to go way down hill when he was sold to bolton.
  3. Was flicking through and saw on sky sports news we are interested with Craig Gardner. I think he would be a reasonable buy if its 3million or under. Birmingham's top scorer last year, and got a decent long range effort on him, a goalscoring midfielder - possible long-term replacement for Kevin Nolan? Would be a decent squad player for next season though.

    Demba Ba

Borja Valero. Spanish international now. And he's class on FIFA.

Would you consider Ben arfa to be a gervinho type player?
  6. Didn't he play most of last year on the wing?
  7. I fall in love everytime I go into that place
  8. and beer retrieval efficiency
  9. more like is she any good at making sandwiches
  10. More likely he's going abroad tbh True, but i like my version better
  11. I was thinkin, before I read that article, that if Liverpool are after clichy they may not be interested in enrique anymore. Hopefully its cause he's signing a new contract!
  12. I'm not sure they have either, but they are probably interested in him as they came close to signing him 2 years ago...don't see Liverpool forking out for another midfielder and think city tend to buy more 'proven' players. Just a waiting game now, this has dragged on quite some time, would like to see a decision one way or another if I'm honest.
  13. Agreed, I reckon its only seriously between us and arsenal. Which in all fairness you'd expect him to go to the gooners...just hope cheik and drogba sway his mind, maybe with the capture of cabaye as well, his head could he turned. Fingers crossed
  14. doesnt matter it hasnt changed from on the bench i want it to say on the pitch or something hehehehe Let me be the first to congratulate you on your promotion to "on the pitch" well done sir
  15. I personally think its just an exaggeration from the press. Don't think either side are in a rush to sort out a new contract, as there is still 2 years left on it. Probably shelving it for now and see how the transfer window/season progresses
  16. Word in twitter (I know right) Enrique has signed a new 4 year deal! I hope this is true! Tie in with the Neil Taylor signing as backup
  17. Bid confirmed £1m...if its backup for Enrique, it's not bad business. The fact (of lack thereof) of us withdrawing the M'Bengue bid would lead me to believe Enrique is gonna sign a new deal.....or Ashley is cutting costs. Granted it is probably the latter as opposed to th former.
  18. With Schmeichel, Cannavaro, Thuram, Laudrup, Gascoigne, Henry, Van Basten and R. Baggio warming my bench. Sir Bobby at the reigns
  19. you missed out Franz Carr Take it Marcelino is in the reserves, where he spent most of his time here
  20. There is a picture of him doing the rounds supposedly having a medical. Not sure the truth in it as he could be anywhere getting it done. http://yfrog.com/h27oryxzj
  21. I haven't seen much of him really, he looked good in the world cup and seemed quite decent in a support striker role so I would expect to see him upfront. Apparently the boy could cross a ball so wouldn't surprise me to seem him on the wing (if we get a decent striker in). I know, just getting a tad bit excited.
  22. Yeah i think it's today, I'm quietly optomixtic about this one, less so with the Gameiro offer. I just wonder if Graham Carr spent his whole scouting budget or are we going to be seeing some other links.
  23. Snippet from L'Integrale du Figaro (a French Paper) - What about Gervinho? As the club northerner expected after his superb season (league and cup), he must now cope with time demands. Gervinho a envie d'aller à Newcastle, tandis que les départs d'Adil Rami (Valence) et Yohan Cabaye (Newcastle) étaient actés. Gervinho wants to go to Newcastle, while the departures of Adil Rami (Valencia) and Yohan Cabaye (Newcastle) were minuted. At the request meets the policy that wishes to implement the LOSC. Does he become the future reference of the championship of France, in view of the stadium? What are its goals in the Champions League? « Nous sommes dans l'obligation de tenir notre rang et de faire honneur à notre titre de champion », avance Rudi Garcia, conscient malgré tout qu'il sera difficile de faire mieux que cette saison. L'arrivée rapide de Benoît Pedretti , la probable signature du Nantais Ronny Rodelin, les prolongations de cadres (Hazard, Mavuba, Landreau, Debuchy, Béria…) démontrent une volonté au moins de continuer à régner sur l'échiquier national. "We are obliged to maintain our position and to honor our championship," forward Rudy Garcia, still aware that it will be hard to beat this season. The early arrival of Benoit Pedretti , the probable signing of Ronny Rodelin Nantais, extensions of frames (Hazard, Mavuba, Landreau, Debuchy, Beria ...) at least show a willingness to continue to reign on the national exchequer. But how will tackle the major Lille Europe? Conserver Hazard serait déjà une bonne chose. Hazard would keep a good thing. Obviously with the aid of google translate. http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n...rn-s-active.php
