  1. Thoughts with Billy Sharp and his family, horrible news about his littleun, still he managed to do what he does best. Warrior
  2. Was dreading when tiote was out, but Guthrie was brilliant today. But Gutierrez and Ba were unbelievable! Though Best did well considering he has had tonsilitis all week, and this was Obertan's best game for us. Superb from the lads, never really looked troubled. Huth is, what DEADMAN would call, a Cunterhead.
  3. Spearheading a forwardline for my saturday and sunday teams

    Debuts

I think in terms of "full debut" ben arfa's was pretty tasty
  5. Gotta be a step up on Perch, surely! Suit her up in a Shola Bowla hat and away we go. The fiercest backline in the premiership just got that much meaner.
  6. How on earth was Demba Ba's not a penalty? Simpson looked gash, but by all accounts Guthrie seemed to do alright. CB is definately a major issue - surely there must be another ameobi knocking about
  7. How long a Toon Fan : My whole life (actively 12 years-ish) Why the Toon : My pops was born in The Toon, and my older brothers in Gateshead. I was, unfortunately born in Essex. Lived most of my life in the States, playing basketball and baseball didn't get into football til I was 14 when I visited my family in Newcastle. Since then I've religiously followed this great club. Location : Kent Toon Games been to : 2, both away. West Ham 2-2 Geremi and Oba scoring; and 0-0 with Chelsea believe both were during our relegation season (West Ham one may have been the season before). Saw an England game at St James' and cannot wait to see the mighty Toonarmy in action (hopefully this year) Where we have been / are going : I know people aren't a fan of him, and I can see why, but I think Ashley is alright, apart from the first major mistakes he made he seems to be making right ones now. I absolutely despise Dekka though. I think things are on there way to make this club competitve at the right end of the table as the structures seem to be in place. However, this being Newcastle United something is bound to rip it apart.
  8. I wasn't sure about Pardew's subs, but they seemed to have worked
  9. Our unbeaten run in normal time continues.....
  10. Two fish in a tank, one says to the other "you man the gun, i'll take the wheel"
  11. Watched Paranormal Activity 3 over the weekend, was easily better than 2 (which isn't hard) and probably just edged the first one in terms of jumps. Was disappointed with the ending, but all in all was pretty watchable.
  12. Good solid player, whenever I've seen him looks competent. We are light in centre/left back so has every chance of getting a look in providing he keeps his head down. Would love to see it work for him
  13. I agree with a lot of what's being said, should be an easy 3 points if we manage to avoid complacency, maybe the way to do that is introduce some new faces, people that are desperate to be a part of this run. I don't really think wigan pose much of a threat, Di santon has never really excelled/live up to his hype from previous years (a South American Shola perhaps?) however that Diame fella seems to pop up with a goal when they need it.
  14. That brick bulding looks pretty permanent to me Bit off topic, it looks like one of the officers found the 'glory hole' in that building
  15. How good was rossi in that game considering how isolated he was....must of been that loan spell under roeder!
  16. Agreed, he was appalling at times on Sunday. Panicked whenever the ball was anywhere near him.
  17. And gotta give Simpson some credit, as shit as he is, I would find it difficult to concentrate staring at the back of squidward for 90mins. He must look like a giant erection from the back.
  18. Reckon he could be effective as an impact player against fading defenses...I'd drop him, shift Jonas and raylor to the right and have santon and marveaux on the left. I think having raylor on the right would be better for the team as he's more naturally a right mid, and his crosses bending in towards the strikers will be much easier to attack.
  19. He was livid with gutierrez when he gave that ball away to modric so he had to smash him for that yellow card. I would of shat my y-fronts
  20. I couldn't believe shola was even on the bench let alone coming on the pitch, but what a performance, I thought everything he did was quality. When he wound that left boot up I thought "you prick that's never going in, get it across the box man" what a finish. Some people were banging on about defoe, but shola made a bigger impact in less time on the field. Thought it was a solid performance overall, obertan was weak and I'd drop Simpson before raylor and shift raylor to right back. Santon looked class, Ben arfa glimpses but still a bit off the pace, still good to see him out there, surely its time for marveaux in place of squidward. As I bring my ranting to a close, thought Tiote wanted that point more than anyone on the park. Great performance, still buzzing!
  21. I think we can we this, I'm slightly worried at the prospect of Bale v Simpson though. Not too fussed about the left side, I think we'll get joy down there as Assou-Akotto (however you spell it) is shite. If Tiote/Cabaye can shackle rat-man we should stroll to the 3 points.
  22. Drive- definately recommend, although couldn't take one of the blokes seriously as his voice was Nemo's dad in Finding Nemo.
  23. This is true, and for the most part The Haunting in Connecticut was 'creatively' based around the actual events, but that Emily Rose one, there are pictures and audio from the case/exorcism. Messed me up a bit
  24. Haunting in Connecticut was pretty jumpy, I like a good scary movie and that one did it for me considering it was based on actual events. Also The Exorcism of Emily Rose was quite good, again due to it being based on actual events and doing a bit of research about it.
  25. Wasn't zidane from Algerian dissent? And the kid is only 18 playing for the u23s, played well for the first team when called upon can't complain really.
