I read somewhere yesterday that he broke his tibia last year and is on the mend, can't for the life of me remember where I read it.

Dunno if there is a thread on this but just saw on nufcblog, cheik is in Ghana as his visa was denied due to red tape. They expect it to be cleared by next weekend, still its a tad worrying.

Alot of the journos saying that team still look in good spirit which is reassuring - kinda makes me think its more of a come and get me plea. As for the comments on the transfer policy, I agree letting the best players go is pretty daft, but the signings seem decent, and they are at the right sort of age. It does make you wonder what sort of team we would have if we had some half decent owners.

I grew up/played in the states, nothing beats a soccer chick, and they love their football.

How is that good business? asides from scoring against England twice the other day just how much have you seen him play? Was meant to be a next big thing like 5 years ago but done very little ever since Well considering he plays either wing or defensive midfield he adds a bit of decent versatility (better than R Taylor), Granted this past season he has been struggling with injury but he had a decent world cup in Germany, and looked half decent in South Africa. So considering you got players such as henderson going for £20m (who is pretty average to be honest) and even Jonas being quoted at £8m, I do think £6.5m is a bit of good business. He is an international ever present (when fit) and has scored goals at that level, don't see how it isn't. Basically you've read his wikipedia page then and don't actually know anything about him as expected? Wiki but aye having a decent world cup in 2006 makes the world of difference. Well I had to have some sort of documentation to back it besides football manager! Still think it be a decent signing like, but he does look a tidy little player from the handful of games i've seen of him

Also been rumblings that tranquilio barnetta has agreed terms and is about to sign for 6.5m...seems like a good bit of business if true!
