As much as i dont like the bloke, and think that he needs to reel in his '100% talk' (basically saying what we want to hear but knowing theres a 90% chance of it not being true), i agree with you to a point. He's working well with what he's been given, and all things considered we cant knock our start to the season (hidden cracks withstanding). I'd say the morale of the club has a lot more to do with the players than the manager though.

I still think he was fucking ace in the 4-4 vs arsenal last year, goals scored regardless. If he could do that more often and at least TRY to stay onside i would have no issue with having him playing alongside Ba/as a#1 backup. Hes definitely a better option than loverboy purely on strength and ability to hold the ball up alone.

What a load of rubbish

Christ I cant wait for him to return. As others have said though, it's doubtful hes gonna be firing at 100% for quite some time, even in that everton video you can see how close he was running/tricking past players and tacking clips/kicks/tackles. He's always gonna be taking knocks and mis-timed tackles, all we can hope is that when he comes back his leg is strong enough to operate at that level of pace/intricacy whilst taking those kind of knocks
