  1. Can't understand why some people get so irate about someone (even misguidedly) talking up our chances and being hopeful, even if it is way OTT. Would you be happier with him if he was slagging Newcastle off and ruling out our chances?
  2. Naaah it just wouldn't feel the same without him these days.
  3. As I satrted this thread can i get in on this action. I will direct the ladies...I am assuming we will be using ladies??? Your in! Different theme each night, popstars, tv stars. And a seperate 'Guilty Pleasures' room, where only the brave (and some Lorrainne Kelly/Sarah Beeny-a-likes) may tread. Any guesses? Shes very much chosen the wrong celeb.
  4. Just had a Dragons Den brainwave: Lookalike Strip Club?
  5. Put it this way, Bothroyd for free or Carlton Cole for £7mill? We could do a lot worse as a squad player.
  6. Yeah but 20 in 42 this season which in all fairness is alright. Big-ish lad too which is a bonus, I wouldn't grumble if we took him on a free. Worst case scenario we sell him back to a championship team next summer for a small profit.
  7. He isn't from the bottom four, he plays in mainland Europe atm. And he aint a free transfer, a fee has been agreed. £75k for Lithuiana's 4th favourite utility player then?
  8. Will go to somewhere like Juve and be a moderately successful third choice striker for a couple of years before heading to Fenerbache, ending with a final, slightly dissapointing season or two back in Denmarkland.
  9. So wait, are we saying 12th isnt a good first season back now?
  10. Ashley's defending on sunday was atrocious, Sheperd would have never let West Brom back into it.
  11. Music is subjective, innit bruv. Don't let a stanger taking drugs upset you too much though.
  12. Great shout, shame he just made it back in time to fuck everything up.
  13. Abramovich is a maniac and deserves derision, but in regards to why the hatred has shifted: Team with most money = Buys most of the best players = Jealousy, Frustration and Annoyance = Hatred Always has and always will be that way. People dress it up in loads of different ways but most of the idiots who say 'I hate Team X they just buy success' would give a testicle for an owner like City's. Even if the owner wasn't a tit there'd be plenty of people who hate Chelsea. I think theres a element of fans of the 'old guard' like Man U, Arsenal and Liverpool who paticularly don't like it because they feel that clubs like Man City don't 'deserve' to come out of no where to be up there challenging them. I don't like how the chances of success for most teams these days pretty much rest on waking up one morning with a Abramovich, but thats just the way it is at the moment and I don't hate teams like City for striking lucky. I just hope it's our turn next.
  14. Not convinced that the first half of the season was better, think on points its probably pretty even. We had that good burst around Arsenal away but some pretty dire results against lowly teams aswell. Where's Nick to tott them up when we need him? Also, I dont think its that true that teams at the bottom have been slipping up any more than usual, 2 were relegated with 39 which would have been enough in the last couple of seasons. We finished a deserved and comfortable 12th, which I think you'd have to say we'd all have been delighted with at the start of the season.
  15. Nzogbia will probably cost an extra 2.1 mill aswell with Wigan surviving. If the paper talk was real anyway.
  16. If ever there was an example of how things level out over the season.
  17. Aquillani will go to Italy if he leaves Liverpool I'd imagine.
  18. Tbf it says 'the international player is primarily a central midfielder', but then I guess you'd say the same about barton and he's wide right. He's probably the versatile type.
