Yep. The revolution is nigh!

Cooper Temple Clause - Damage Liking the sound of their new stuff.
-
Su Pollard - Starting Together Far more terrifying.

I know a few people who've studied there and basically speak well of the place.

I'd only end up sticking on some Sigur Rós and making the batteries commit suicide.

Ended up watching John Tucker Must Die on Friday night. I am so spectacularly under the thumb. They must've known what the audience demographic would be, because the trailers were for things like You, Me and Dupree (seriously, "Two's company. Dupree's a crowd." What the fuck?), Little Man and three more globs of Hollywood spaff so god-awful that my brain has already decided to purge their memory. Or maybe they were just trying to make the main feature look better. It didn't work.

Had the misfortune of seeing him recently at a stoodent comedy night (which was unfortunate enough in the first place, I suppose). He turned up about an hour late and reeled off a grumpy 15-minute set of what effectively amounted to "right, I'll play a riff/impersonate a silly voice and you have to guess who it is", ending with a song about how religion is quite nasty sometimes and a version of Robbie Williams' "Angels" that concluded "He's shagging fellas instead". Groundbreaking. 180226 Did he do the thing with the queen mother's head in the newspaper, and the songs about religion and war? Because he did that in 2002! 180624 Strangely enough..... Good, now I have even more reasons to dislike the big-faced twat.

Comes across like the "Why not stay at home and watch the match on the telly, it costs too much and there's every chance we'll play like crap?" argument, and holds just as little water. It's not like it's really anything to do with post-modernism. It just sounds like a giggle, it's not every day you get to enjoy a group experience where everyone's basically on the same wavelength, and it's barely more than the price of a couple of pints dahn here anyway. Life must be a right bag of laughs round your gaff. "Sorry I couldn't come out last night, I was so busy analysing my motivations for wanting to go out that by the time I was finished the pub was closed."

I love Fridays. A couple of drinks too many at lunchtime and a dense legal text to translate this afternoon. Rah.

30 minutes, could do better. 180339 Anything more than 5 or 6 is a bonus really.

I still miss the Doug Anthony All-Stars.

Seriously, do you just wait to see what the balance of opinion is in a thread then take up the opposing view so you can call the majority "sad"? It's getting uncanny now

With a name like NEU2 I'll be disappointed if they don't deliver their set in a comedy cod-German accent.

Defo dead like. For years me Mam claimed she was going to see him when he made his comeback tour Respect to anyone who can eat that many burgers whilst doing that many amphetamines though. Dedication tbh. 178935 If you wanna be a record breakeeeerrrr.... ahhh-oooooooh

I still giggle so hard it brings me to tears whenever I watch Lordi's performance at Eurovision and think about how many years I've waited for something like that to happen. Just thought this thread needed to be brought back to serious matters

I'm totally useless. I even welled up a bit at the end of the South Park film.

shitty Korean copy of an upmarket Toyota tbh 178700 I was thinking more passenger transport authority
-
Try the original. 178630 I always tell myself that when I watch remakes, but I can never be arsed. Perfect non-questioning Hollywood customer tbh.

The Lake House. Maybe I was just in a soppy mood but I really went for this, despite the obvious time travel paradoxes and the whiff of lunacy about the whole thing. Still not buying Keanu Reeves as a Proper Actor, but I was surprised at how many facial expressions Sandra Bullock can do. Beautifully filmed an' arl.

Bad luck. Not even on the Gatwick express? 178601 If you were there, you weren't wearing a pink handkerchief in your breast pocket like we discussed. Heartbroken tbh.

Flew to Hamburg on Friday morning and back again on Monday night and didn't get delayed or blown up or ANYTHING. I reckon it's just a giant conspiracy to sell more Boots Meal Deals airside.
