I quite like them myself. I'm amazed that took 40 minutes to be honest. I'm not. ... I forget why I like you You don't. ...oh wait

Aye, all the best Renton mate, Stevie too. And anyone else who's having a bit of a shite time right now.

Back in town for a few days. I must have lived in London for too long, the service at both restaurant and pub tonight were lovely and friendly. I need some rudeness and indifference, and quickly - any of you lot out for a jar before the Man U game?
-
I'll be in the neutral end too. Sounds like it's basically going to be a second away section.

Just watching The Red Balloon on Sky Arts 2. Nostalgia.

Keep thinking of this every time I see the thread title.

No concrete plans as yet (other than the now-traditional weekenders to Hamburg in February and Stockholm in March). Not doing Eurovision this year though - two weeks in Azerbaijan doesn't appeal, funnily enough - so should have more time for baking in the sun and generally doing precisely fuck-all, which will be lovely.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVvDxR8k5LY Albania just chose this for Eurovision. Four minutes of screaming misery. I love it.

We're having a few friends over for sparkling and non-sparkling beverage devastation accompanied by bad Eurovision DVDs and party food.

Can't help you there, the mother-in-law's a thoroughly decent type. She just has terrible taste in men.

Can you put some in mine too? This place is dry as a bone. A small glass of wine with lunch and that's it. Fortunately things will get a bit sloshier when we're with the less puritanical side of the family tomorrow.

NB. Works less well for porcelain Christmas gifts.

Making a late play for my favourite comparatively obscure release of the year, at least - works surprisingly well in a festive context, but then I'm a crusty old romantic at heart. http://seryn.bandcamp.com/album/this-is-where-we-are

Enough to raise a sweat, but not leave splatter marks on the wall? Exactly. A gentlemanly two-step.

If you know where this recipe is chuck a link up Mr Fist :-) 1kg (75) cocktail sausages 2 x 15ml tablespoons sesame oil 125ml/150g honey 2 x 15ml tablespoons soy sauce 1. Preheat the oven to 220c/gas mark 7. 2. Separate the sausages (if linked) and arrange in a large, shallow-sided roasting tin. 3. Whisk together the oil, honey and soy sauce and pour over the sausages, then use your hands (or a couple of spatulas) to move everything about in the tin so that all the sausages are slicked (oo-er). 4. Roast for 25-30 minutes; give them a shuffle about halfway through cooking if you happen to be near the oven. Simple as that!

Got 'em lined up for New Year's too.

And that's what's in the oven right now, since we're doing Swedish Christmas tonight. Meatballs to follow.
