How has he got the potential to surpass Shelvey? I'd agree if he was 20 or so but hes 26, he's older than Shelvey and has no experience at the top level. We do need someone to play where shelvey does but surely we should be looking at either someone younger or someone better rather than spending 10 million on backup.

I don't know exactly what we need in midfield but someone who looks and plays like Shelvey, except not as good and older isn't it.

Bit worse than 1 goal in 2 for Kiev from the wing and 68 caps 29 goals for Ukraine is not a bad record at all so he's obviously a good player, odd that he's not moved but I suppose someone like Darijo Srna never did either despite plenty of offers.

He's a left forward, plays wide and cuts inside. He's come back from a very serious injury pretty well and I've always liked him. Be nice to have someone from my hometown in our team too

The league below Everton in 7th is absoulte garbage tbh, 12 wins gets you 8th as it stands which seems really really low. If we spend smartly over summer we'll be starting the season in as good a position as the majority of those teams.
