Ah now I'll watch as much of it as I can, love a world cup. What I won't do is /pay/ for any of it.

Aye but you're in sydney, you're two or three hours behind me. If our lunchtime games were at 9 or 10pm I'd be all over them. I do typically watch our latest kickoffs since they're 7 or 8am but the afternoon games are not viable for me.

Mostly us playing at 2 or 3am. I /could/ watch games after the fact but its practically impossible for me to get the two hours+ to find, download and then watch a full match first thing which means I go on here or twitter etc and know the result. So I tend to watch highlights.

Its rare these days that there will be debutants in big tournament squads, given his form over the last 12 months its odd that he hasn't even had a call up but this isn't surprising with that in mind.

I'm only able to catch up with higlights for most games so I'm possibly missing something but whats happening with Burn playing left back rather than Targett? Our results have been excellent obviously and you can't complain that Targett being out of the side is costing us but he is our only full time left back. If hes being kept out of the side by Burn should we be looking to add a trippier level (big ask) upgrade at LB?

Nicked this from reddit, table for 2022. We're well worth our 4th spot in the league based on this, over a sustained period as well. When you consider how good Arsenal have been this season, and how good Liverpool were last season the fact our record over the same period has us in a comparable position is incredible. Looking at the clubs we're rubbing elbows wit, and the fact they've had sustained spending, elite players and managers etc. in attempts to compete over the years where we had absolutely nothing its insane that we've moved to that position with two transfer windows and appointing a manager most considered underwhelming when he first joined.

Hes having a superb season, hes typically always played well but hes added the goals just recently.

Given Klopp is the sorest loser and smuggest most patronising winner in the the football world, its not that shocking that other managers dont like him.

The one place Id say they might see as up for grabs would be in the midfield 3? Iirc Fred currently has that spot. The midfield options from their previous squad were MF: Bruno Guimarães (Newcastle) MF: Casemiro (Real Madrid) MF: Lucas Paqueta (Lyon) MF: Fabinho (Liverpool) MF: Fred (Manchester United) MF: Everton Ribeiro (Flamengo) Got to think Fred doesnt have his spot locked in since hes shit, but they also had 8 forwards in that squad. Big joe probably doesnt make the WC squad having never been in the team before but hes got to be pushing for consideration after that. Hope he and Bruno have absolutely top games tomorrow, would love to see Bruno starting at the WC

The netherlands are pretty well stocked at CB, but based on this season he's got to be in the squad at least.

Diego may well correct me here but I think Emerys stock at Villareal has fallen a bit since we were after him. When we tried to recruit him a year ago they were in the Champions League having won the Europa League in 20/21(7th in the league), then finished 7th again so managed a europa conference spot for this season and now they're...7th. They arent going anywhere.
