How has everyone gone on their 2022 goals then? I'm still working towards the goal weight I set one I stopped being fucking ill, it is definitely taking longer than I had hoped to get there but I am keeping my body fat consistently low as I slowly move up on the scales which is what I want. I am so much stronger than I was 6 months ago though, really got stuck into my training and kept the intensity up which is more of a mental game than a physical one, being willing to really grind out higher weights and constant improvements. Everything is better, but my back is fucking class. I would genuinely not believe where I am if I went back to a couple of years ago.

Would've made more sense in summer since he is sort of a fancy Shelvey. But with Shelvey being injured we've not needed a fancy Shelvey this season we need a fancy longstaff to upgrade in midfield really.

I don't think it necessarily matters if we're 2nd or 3rd, its the gap to the top. At the moment we're second with 33 points, but city have two games in hand on us and you'd expect them to pick up 6 points putting them on 38. Arsenal are top with one game in hand on us, again expecting a win that would have them on 43. We're not in the title race at ten points off the top, I think we need to be within one (maybe two) game of getting to the top of the table to really be considered to be in the race.

Really good player, always hard to tell if a player will translate well from the dutch league to the PL. Also doesn't address any of their issues at all, despite their injuries right now he plays in the same position and both Jota and Diaz. They've absolutely just signed him because they could and because it prevents Man u from having him.

Glad we've had a decent level cup tie to bring the squad back to competitive club football, dropping straight back into a league game would've been rough. We've not been very good today but we're leading and I trust Howe to use this performance to get them refocussed for the christmas league matches.

A problem they have is that there are only really three proper managers in the PL right now who are english excluding Gary O'Neil who just got made permanent bournemouth manager for his first job. You have Lampard, Howe and Potter. Howe and Potter are, frankly, too good and doing too well to be considered for the job right now, which just leaves Lampard. Kicking the can down the road for another 18 months makes a lot of sense really
