are you suggesting we've deliberatley gone after a player who has recently had a family member die so we can postpone a payout til the window closes? I'm suggesting that it's pretty stupid to have sold our only viable LB a mere 2 days before our opening match, without securing a replacement first. this is true

Newcastle v Arsenal Sat 13th August Kick Off 5.30pm

im not putting a negative light on anything, you just seemed unusually upset that peoples comments on an arsenal website said they thought arsenal will win. its like someone coming on here and being surprised that we like Newcastle -

stevie are you really that shocked and appaled by pro arsenal bias on arsenal website? their fanbase has fuck all to do with the predictions too. before you jump down my throat though I do agree with you about them wilting when the crowds against them and that we can potentially win this game but you dont half get bent out of shape over some odd stuff -
ditto

He looks more like 6'2/3 to me. Wikipedia have him down as 6'5 though. Mental. no mention of his height on arsenals website, FM has him as 6'4" though which im sure will get me a shit load of abuse but on basics like height they do tend to get their details from the clubs themselves

happens a lot on wikipedia deaders, it doesnt mean anything though its not like pardews sat there editing wiki pages
-
not really, he wont end up at us or stoke this summer, if he doesnt fancy either of us he'll stay at arsenal dont suppose anyone knows when his contracts up? if arsenal drop the supposed 8mil I think we could be in for him but again, the wages will be a problem
-
We dont have a LB though exactly, we now need 2 to be looking at a balanced squad
-
I'd take him for sure he'll be a good PL striker after a run of games, hes not as slow as some are making out, pace isnt his main attribute but hes by no means pedestrian, he's got the odd touch of brilliance about him and coming from arsenal he'll be a good all round footballer but as Ive said every other time hes been mentioned he thinks hes so much better than he is, this might be remedied with a run of games in a PL first 11, apart from when he was on lona at birmingham the most league starts hes had in a season is 17 and he got 9 goals out of them. and every so often he does something that makes me think he could be a really good player like that, I dont think we will sign him though, dont reckon ashley will pay the rates, fee or wages. be happy to be proven wrong though
-
we dont want him, he doesnt want to stay but no one else wants to sign him for what we're asking this'll happen every season til his contracts up
-
if anyone gets bent out of shape over that JE interview they need their head examining to be honest, show me an interview with a newly signed player at any club that doesn't sound almost exactly the same. my take on your bias. I'm sure you think I'm overly negative, but I just cannot share your optimism. agree with you on pretty much all counts there fish tbh, particularly on the 5 year deals part, we give all these lads 5 year deals when they start moving to the first team and the first thing I think is "thats a good chunk added to the fee we can ask for"
-
so is he a quarter of an ugly fucker now?
-
I thought of that XKCD as soon as I saw the thread, was going to post it if that wasnt the thread
-
Ive not seen a fee mentioned, if its anthing under 10mil we've been had
-
we've got a league in the http://fantasy.premierleague.com/ one look in the football forum

-
agreed,he plays it out of defence well, hes quick and strong can tackle and run up and down for a full match not much more you can ask of a fullback

There's not an accent in Britain which has been more influenced by ethnic minorities than Mancunian. Mancs didn't speak like they do now 50 years ago, it is entrenched in black culture, and it's not called Gunchester as a result for nothing, same as Nottingham which has very similar demographics. You talk shite man. Half my family are from working class inner city Manchester and and my cousin's kids talk with the same Lancastrian accent as their grandparents do. Your trouible is you speak in sweeping generalisations in a "well a bloke down the pub told me...." way and dress it up as fact. Where the fuck did you get this pile of bollocks from? It's even on the Manchester wiki page you cheeky fucking divvy. People don't talk like Jack Duckworth anymore in inner Manchester, people didn't talk like they do in Burnage and Gorton now, fifty years ago. Listen to older Mancunians. "I know someone in Manchester they don't talk like Liam Gallagher", ah well it mustn't have ever changed then. Nobhead. you know wikipedia can be edited by anyone right? theres a reason its not allowed as a source in academics

good, bout fucking time

and do what exactly for a year in between?

Bendtner is on a reported 60K+ salary at Arsenal, this is why it has taken him so long to move as although there are plenty of teams interested (sporting Lisbon, Dortmund, Stoke have all supposedly made bids) none of them will meet his wage demands. We are the last team who are going to pay him the money he wants. Personally I rate Bendtner despite the fact many think he's shite, but he isn't coming here unless we completely change the current transfer policy. I rate him, with a good run of games hed be quality for us if we did sign him we wont though and no matter how good he ends up itll never be as good as he thinks he is
