An unusuall conflicting weekend of football for me, after watching us limp out of the premiership on sunday to going to wembley and watching burnley go up anyway heres some pictures, I will say wembley is awesome, its utterly enormous Players lining up Burnley Fans at the final whistle sheffield end 10 minutes after the final whistle Sheffields fans were shit, they looked beaten before they'd even gone into the stadium

I'm not really sure, its wierd as I said earlier because no one responsible can actually be punished, it wasn't an illegal thing and its not like any of us can just pop round and beat the living daylights out of them either its a directionless fury that it stagnating into despair because I genuinely feel helpless and that, frankly, is fucking horrible

I'd like us to try and nick joe mattock from leicester, young, pretty well rated and english Never seen the lad - have seen lewington and he is consistently their standout player - i think he would come to us aswell seen mattock once or twice as well as hearing good things mostly, never seen lewington so can't comment my main knowledge as far as championship players goes is centred around burnley but they might be heading the other way tomorrow so we wouldn't get any of theirs, if not we could do worse than to try for several burnley always struggle to hold onto their better assests due to it being such a small place

do you not think thats more due to him (for some reason) being seen as someone to bring off when the game needs changing even though he has been good for us since coming back, looking one of a very small number with some end product I hope we keep hold of him myself, he'll do well in the championship

Having done the same thing a tier lower, I'd have to say at any level its what you make of it - if you go in thinking you're too big, you'll hate it, if you go in looking forward to new places and such, you'll enjoy it for a season at least. Few teams play the turgid football that Stoke did. thats one thing I'll give the championship, a lot of teams really do try and play good football, which I suppose could be down to the lower stakes lack of "dear god if we lose this its really bad" feel to matches,

as with many statistics, without context it proves nothing

the one thing I would like to see us try to bring in is pace, its something we have unquestionably lacked this season but MoN at villa has shown that adding an aggressive amount of pace to a side can make up for a lot, you wouldn't single out many of villas players as being really top quality as individuals (maybe barry and young) but they still managed to push hard for a top 4 spot for a lot of this season and have still finished 6th this season despite a pretty awful second half of the seaso it just goes to show how much of a difference it can make

must go down as one of the worst prem signings of all time surely, hopefully when hes shit and injury prone somewhere else too the media will stop buttfucking him as being "a top top player" "world class finisher" etc etc and recognise that since hes been 24-25 hes been shit and since that amounts to around half his carreer (assuming he doesnt suddenly get good again) he does not deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as "top class"

and frankly that is several top qualiy championship players
