  1. Fish takes an instant dislike to the new blood due to non-capitalisation of "ipswich" and the unforgivable "whos".
  2. Vote rigging scandal. Baby Disqualified in shame. Front page of tomorrows Ronnie.
  3. I hope you're happy every day, and not just birthdays.
  4. Like Seinfeld, the quality up to the end of season 6 has just got better and better in my opinion. Hopefully it won't drop off later like Seinfeld did. Seinfeld got silly when they brought in lots of new writers and Larry David left the show. Because he writes CYE alone, hopefully that should ensure the high water mark is retained now that he's commited to another 2 seasons.
  5. In the defence of DWP staff, Monday and Friday would include 1 day, 2 day, 3 day and/or 4 day absences though. Added to that chances are statistically higher that you will fall ill between Friday and Monday than between Tuesday and Thursday (4/7 as opposed to 3/7). Course they're all on the skive though.
  6. What Stephen Fry thinks... http://stephenfry.com/blog/
  7. Good move, hopefully Kinky John will get the stadium DJ gig too.
  8. USC? That's it! Unspeakably Shite Clothing.
  9. Get with what the hip kids are listening to in the new millenium man, stop being such a square. Or go and have some Werthers original and a lie down gramps.
  10. I thought this was about that shop that sells tarty T-shirts
  11. I was going to ask, thought it looked like one but I've never bothered with this stuff for ages. My mate bought a JS1 and a Gem. Fretboard wanktastic. Yeh its a self indulgence thing for sure Another lad I know built himself an Eddie Van Halen Signature model from scratch, I'll get some photos and hoy them up.

  14. Couple of flats on the estate round the corner had them up on Nov 1st. These are the kind of people that want Allardyce out, the instant gratification society. Too many prervatives in their food
  15. I watched the first 3 episodes of Rome tonight. I'll stick at it, but it's not the best HBO series about violent Italians.
  16. I swear to god I have never laughed so much in my life! The season six finale was total genius. That photo at the end was the single most hilarious thing I've ever seen, second is Susie's face after Larry's speech. Congratulations to Larry David for being the funniest man ever.
  17. surely he would have played Beye and Enrique and Rozenhal ahead of Taylor and N'Zogbia then? don't talk soft man You're spot on Fish, I was talking soft there like. Why would he strip Geremi of the captaincy and leave him on the bench too?
  18. Any "Keane out" threads?
  19. If we're top of the league in January there's no need for a transfer kitty. Transfer bungs are his priority in the game and the main reason he came to free-spending Newcastle. He's intent on causing alarm in the boardroom so he can rake in the big bucks. That's what I heard from my ITK source. God's honest. I swear down.
  20. Allardyce is a genius. He saw our start to the season and thought to himself "if I win 12 games on the bounce expectation will go through the roof and I'll be out of a job when I don't make Europe come the end of the season. I'd best tie an arm behind my back to lower expectation. I'll restrict myself to only playing people in their natural position through the middle. Anyone wide must be unaccustomed to what they're doing. That should do it."
  21. Deluded? That's what I was called when I said Allardyce was no improvement on Roeder. I call it 'sensible' myself though. Get a grip. The Norwich fans are gutted about getting Roeder man. You may not think a lot of Allardyce but suggesting he's no improvement over Roeder is ludicrous. I await a stat-attack
  22. Agreed, a positive frame of mind isn't going to help anyone. We might as well send the reserves out for the next three games eh? keep the first team fresh for the christmas run.
  23. Agreeing? The sentiment of the thread was we should never forget the horror of WW1, and you jumped in with some shite about how people already have that was completely out of step with the tone in there. You didn't even qualify people with a 'some' or 'young' or explain why you've come to this absurd conclusion. And you still haven't. Yes agreeing with the sentiment that it should be remembered and respected, but that it shouldn't just be about date or just names on stone. People remember the horror of more recent wars better (although arguable such things as WW2 are being changed and sanitised and forgotten in ways as we speak - in all manner of ways from Japanese text books to the next Hollywood remake), but the vast majority of British people don't really know about WW1. They may have watched the odd Discovery special or whatever but that's hardly the same thing. And the people that DO remember whether they fought themselves or just watched a generation being butchered are disappearing themselves...... and as they go so do their 1st hand accounts and memories. Even going to look at the WW1 war graves still doesn't really capture the full horror and scale of such industrial slaughter, nor the massive tragic folly of the event in the first place. It's completely pointless to remember those who have fallen in such things if you don't remember and understand to AVOID such things again, frankly that's more of an insult to their memories than most anything else. But yes, clearly I was just "taking the piss". So your main qualm is with the passing of time and the fact more and more people have had no direct relation/contact who was alive during war time? Even though those people can do lots to find out about WW1 with the wealth of information available and on the national curriculum. Also, you're saying if those of us in that position can't do any more than read or watch documentries to remind ourselves, we should just stop trying because we're insulting the people that were there? So basically in one more generation we should just forget about it because we're insulting them even trying to remember given that they're no longer here to remind us in person. I don't know what would be worse tbh, if you're on a WUM or if you believe this.
