  1. Haidara is one for the future, I expect him to be the second choice left back for the time being.
  2. We don't know what the "personal issues" are. The fact that there's no concrete story come out from anyone at the club suggests it's perhaps a little bit more serious than simply getting a lass pregnant. It's disappointing, but none of us know the reason for all of this. It could be severe depression or threats of violence on his family. We don't know the facts.
  3. Massadio Haïdara - repeat several times to the tune of the theme to Emmerdale.
  4. Disgraceful. If you're 7-0 up, the rule is you take it to the goal line, lie down and head it in. He's obviously shite if he doesn't know the rules of football.

I did hear a bloke on the radio the other day say that mushrooms have no nutritional value. They're "healthy" in that they don't make you fat, but they don't provide you with any nutrients or vitamins. Something to do with them being low in fibre, meaning they pass straight through you before the nutrients have a chance to be absorbed. He was probably talking shite though!

Looks canny though, to be fair.
  7. My "own" recipe... Box of mince (allow 1/4 lb per person) Teaspoon of salt Teaspoon of black pepper 1/2 tsp of vegetable oil Mix together, mould into burger shapes, flatten out and refrigerate. The salt works its magic in binding it all together. I've found the nicest burgers to be the most simple ones.
  8. Just looking back at this thread. Not that I'm doubting that they're delicious, but once you put egg in a burger, it becomes a flat meatball (a meatflat?). Proper burgers should be no more than beef + seasoning.
  9. Jonas will take the ball off him and either keep it, pass it on or win a free kick. He doesn't lose the ball that often. Quality players need quality players around them to get the best out of them. Tiote + Cabaye is a hell of a lot more effective than either of them individually.
  10. Tiote's a class act. He comes under stick because he's on the ball more than anyone else. What he needs is a more forward thinking midfielder alongside him (Cabaye) who comes looking for the ball and drives it forward. Unfortunately the two of them have barely played together this season, meaning Tiote's role has changed to a more unfamiliar one. I agree with Dr Gloom - Tiote, Sissoko and Cabaye would be a brilliant midfield.
  11. Another board: http://www.notbbc.net/unufc
  12. I wondered why my settee was missing a castor.
  13. Is that right? Being able to buy out your own contract makes sense, but the Webster case is a bit up in the air still. I'm not convinced it's likely to happen that way. I hope you're right though.
  14. A legal right? Regardless of whether he is suspended or not, Toulouse still hold his registration.
  15. It's all about balance. The midfield we put out at Old Trafford and the Emirates was very positive, but it also relied on Tiote alone to support the defence from midfield. We were outnumbered time and time again and shipped goals. Cabaye makes a difference because he works his knackers off at both ends of the pitch. Marveaux and Obertan might have a bit of pace about them, but they are quite happy to meander around on the half way line and let the rest of the team do the leg work. Cabaye and Tiote together form a brilliant partnership in the middle, but they've barely played together at all this season. Sissoko is more in the Tiote mould but ventures forward a little bit more. Between Cabaye, Tiote and Sissoko we can build a strong centre midfield to both protect our back four and move the ball forward to create chances.
  16. If we manage to get Sissoko in, we suddenly have a force in midfield again. Our current problems are stemming from a weak as piss midfield, not from our back four. That much is evident from the stark difference in our play when Cabaye is playing compared with when he's not.
  17. Ashley's had fuck all to do with it man (other than casting a watchful eye from above). It's Llambias who fucked it up in the summer and it's Llambias who has spearheaded the French foray this time. If Llambias had messed it up again, I'm sure his head would have rolled.
  18. Heard it. Not posting my source on here, but it's a reliable one.
  19. He's off. He's played his last game for NUFC.
  20. I'm fully expecting us to have a live press conference where he signs his contract, only for Harry Redknapp to be lurking nearby, steal the pen and run off, while the player is winched into a helicopter and flown to London.
  21. John Carver is anything but a "yes man". He isn't afraid to stick his oar in if needs be.
  22. The youthful neck is somewhat disturbing. It certainly makes a change from the melted welly style he usually sports.
