Had to run to the radio to turn it off a few minutes ago there, I can live with us going down because we deserve to go but I can't abide listening to Sam Allardyce sing the praises of his lot.

The league will be much better off with the current bottom 3 going down. We and them have been fighting off relegation on a consistent basis now, was only a matter of time and I wouldn't blame a neutral for not being sad to see said clubs out of the league.

We could have bought a serviceable defender for the money we spent on him. There's definitely defenders out there who could have done a better job for us than our current lot.

Was far more bothered last year but I think that was because it always seemed more likely that not that we'd stay up until the last couple of matches. I remember thinking every week "just one more win and we'll be alright", only to be let down several games in a row - but we did manage to take it all the way to the final game of the season. Now it is looking pretty terminal in terms of our chances even with a few weeks to go, it's a lot less nerve-racking. I still care but I'm pretty apathetic about it all nowadays. Life's too short to let these twats get me down, if it's anything like the last relegation numbness will be the overriding feeling if/when relegation is confirmed.

I think we'd have been in a better position if we'd done the right thing and sacked McClaren after the Chelsea game. No doubt McClaren convinced them that a few days in the sun, learning from a master tactician like himself and putting in a performance to beat the mighty Lillestrom in a friendly would all lead to a change in our fortunes. If anything we've been worse since then and it's too late for Rafa to fix it tbh.

Great defending there

Can't believe we spent £14.5m on this guy. We could have bought a couple of half-decent defenders for that money, instead we got him and his constant non-performances. He captained a league-winning side last season and he has some talent about him, but his mentality is just not there when we needed him the most.

Only reason he'd stick with NUFC is because he can be closer to his family than he would be in Spain (I believe his kids have been brought up as scousers). I doubt his missus would blame him however if he decided managing a big La Liga club was a better idea than managing a club in the Championship. With that said... last time I checked Valencia were themselves only 6 points from the bottom 3 in their respective league. Can't imagine they'll go down as they've a number of decent players, but it's not beyond the realms of possibility.

Should just come to an agreement with Rafa for him to call it quits no blame attached, no point him hanging around. Valencia are after a new manager I believe.
