Get a load of this genius coming over here, gloating on a Toon board, and then calling US cringe-worthy and bitter. They had an off day, you had an on day, congratulations are in order but I bet to people like you the best thing about that result was being able to show it off to NUFC supporters as for once you've got something to be proud of. What a joker.

Didn't even know he had a girlfriend. The Royal Family are a tourism marketing tool and nothing more.

Edmundsson up front (number 11) for the Faroes.

How many children have gone missing on holidays since May 2007?

dan1990's must-do list after a result like that: 1) Down a couple of alcopops. 2) Go on a Newcastle board to gloat. 3) Go on a Sunderland board to share delight in being higher in the table than Newcastle. 4) Practice Gyan's retarded dance. 5) Go to sleep dreaming of Quinny and little Kevin.

Obsessed.

Gyan's celebration is retarded. Makes me cringe.

Oh for fuck's sake.

I'd take a few punches for the money Harrison would have made tonight.

Makes you laugh at how much hype Sky gave this (understandably in a way, given it was basically just extra advertising for them).

Thought you wanted to go 15 rounds, Audley?

Ranger and Routledge had less than 15 minutes on the pitch (plus injury time). Guthrie has not long been back from injury, and Lovenkrands has had hardly any gametime up till now so wouldn't have been sharp under any circumstances.
-
Agree with Charlie Nicholas on SSN who thinks that Lovenkrands didn't do a lot wrong, but found himself in positions better suited to Carroll (mainly headed opportunities). Nolan in that system didn't work.
-
Guthrie had a couple. He was pretty hit and miss as it were.
-
Yawn-tastic. Another boring, defensive side comes to SJP and gets something out of the match. We really need to work out how to break these kind of teams down.

Carroll should have scored there.

Xisco to come on and get a hat trick.

Would Ben Arfa start in our team at the minute?
Monroe Transfer replied to Anorthernsoul's topic in Newcastle Forum
Is the OP serious? Did we ever get any form of estimate as to when Ben Arfa might return? March-April perhaps (based on previous similar recovery times)? I read that de Jong has been left out of the next Dutch squad as well for showing no remorse. Good. I don't have a single positive word to say about him. I've always thought he was a dirty player, his kick at Alonso was one of the most heinous things I've seen on a football pitch, and now he's completely responsible for robbing my club of potentially its best player for the vast majority of the season. I have no time for him at all and I only wish Van Marwijk would get rid of Van Bommel too (never going to happen given he's family) as he's also a terrible example to younger footballers. -
Unless there's space (and time) to pass it short, I'd rather defenders just cleared it by any means necessary. Under no circumstances should you dither (for want of a better word) in your own box. Just get rid.

The Premier League's dirtiest players
Monroe Transfer replied to Monroe Transfer's topic in Newcastle Forum
Well if we're going to be like that, might as well nominate this man. -
Hopefully he'll learn from that. A harsh lesson.

Andy Carroll - Will he stay or will he go?
Monroe Transfer replied to loonyTOON's topic in Newcastle Forum
I wouldn't be totally against getting someone like Carew in during the January window, just as cover for Carroll. Bring a decent name in during pre-season, assuming we stay up.
