  1. I doubt Hughton really believes that, but he has to go with whatever Ashley et al are planning - i.e. not spending any money. Then again, I trust their word as much as Fish does, so maybe we will add to the squad (as we desperately need to) in January. Either way - does this really need to be said now? On top of the Ben Arfa injury and 2 losses in a row, what's the point in depressing the fans even further? If Hughton was asked that by a journo I'd rather he just said "I don't know".
  2. So they've reset all the ranked stats... Shambles.
  3. Maybe you should stop watching the X Factor and educate yourself as to what equals actual quality TV programming.
  4. carla lane is the black dude from Black Eyed Peas. I mean, he wishes he was.
  5. Their servers are bad for just about every major title they put out with online functionality. For a while after launch, at least. Bad Company 2 was terrible for server-based issues for a very long time, and for all I know (haven't touched it in a couple of months) isn't fully fixed now either.
  6. I don't blame Hughton for not wanting to take many risks with younger players, we're hardly a settled PL side. I'm sure they'll get more chances later in the season as the injuries mount up, and if/when we get a bit more comfortable in terms of our position in the table.
  7. Sounds like you're the lucky one then. Forums around the would are full of complaints about the state of the game. Does seem to be a few out there such as yourself who have yet to come across these issues, count yourself fortunate in that case. 360 player here for the record, might not be so bad on PS3/PC.
  8. I don't know what's worse; the fact that you come up with such drivel or the fact that you watch X Factor in the first place.
  9. My 'top' 3, in this order. Cattermole is an idiot and lacks intelligence, Henry doesn't. Henry knows he's a thug and he seems to enjoy being one. de Jong is just a dirty, dirty player and today was simply yet another example of this. There are more but these three have always stood out as players I simply can't stand. They represent anti-football and get away with it because the media portrays them as 'honest' players.
  10. I'd be delighted albeit surprised if he made it back by February. Getting a player of his calibre back for the last - and most important - third of the season would be a big boost. Real shame that decent young players on our books such as Ben Arfa and Gosling will miss so much of the season. The 25 game thing isn't on my mind right now, I just hope the guy gets back to full health quickly. He must be gutted. When he's back we'll see what the situation is and what his future holds whether it's with us or another club.
  11. This has to be one of the most buggiest and unstable games I've ever played. It's an absolute mess to be quite honest. Bear in mind that it's already had 2 title updates (on the 360). It's crashed to a frozen screen at least 5 times for me today alone, I've been able to play exactly zero teamplay/club matches, I've had EA account dropouts whilst on the menus countless times, some of the achievements are broken, and all this is on top of horrendous quitter problem this franchise suffers from. I daren't start really getting into career mode if it's anything like the rest of the title. If you haven't bought it then I'd honestly put off purchasing it for a while, at least until it's patched again.
  12. Xabi Alonso might not agree with that quote.
  13. Well he was good whilst it lasted.
  14. Guess Ben Arfa won't play 25 matches after all then.
  15. Hughton is so short. Some serious faces there, Beardsley excluded.
  16. I suppose he's certainly not put a bad album per se, but The Slip, With Teeth and Ghosts don't really do much for me these days. Pretty Hate Machine sounds pretty outdated now unfortunately and it feels too one dimensional compared to the 2 full lengths that followed it. Wouldn't hesitate to call them both masterpieces of their time.
  17. Year Zero is one of your favourite albums? Seriously? Thought it was distinctly average especially when compared to Downward Spiral and The Fragile (but then again most albums look worse when compared to those 2).
  18. I ask myself the same thing every time I read one of your posts, Kevin.
  19. You were drunk at the time. He said he'd call you later as he wasn't sure if he was comfortable with it or not.
  20. And those comments from Jose there are spot on. Hughton also admitted in the post match interview that lessons were learned. Can only hope we apply these lessons to the next match. We were woeful in the second half and Stoke played well and made the most of that.
  21. I'd love to see Hughton angry. You know; raging, seething. He frowns and shouts an awful lot on the touchline but he seems like a rather placid individual off it. Shame there's no-one there to get angry at Hughton over his dodgy subs or one dimensional tactics.
  22. You first, dear. I'm not someone who thinks that every single thing he has done or is doing is having a negative affect on the club. He's done far more wrong than right but I don't believe his intentions are misleading us, more that him and his crew didn't know and to an extent don't know how to run a football club. edit; and I get tired of the people moaning that he's only in it for the money - what money? Yes it's his fault for not reading the books pre-sale but at the end of the day he's hardly getting rich off us, in terms of his back balance it's more the opposite.
