And so it begins. Hope Leicester enjoyed this season cos it won't be happening next year.

Not gonna miss him but generally agree that he's been a decent servant of the club. He could have been a good player without the injuries. I remember that period in the 5th place finish season where he and Colo were invincible for a period of about 8 weeks at the start of the season. I also remember the handball/sniper incident though, so swings and roundabouts.

Urgh... I just relived the Oyster one...

You're well within your rights mate. Just because it's 'normal' in the world of house buying, doesn't mean that you can't be annoyed about it. Do you have any others lined up.

Who goes in and offers £10k over the next highest bid...

You're the one who always fucking starts it though

This has been a brilliant thread for the past few pages.

It's true, I find them very relatable. They're in it for the greater good rather than individual pursuit of power. Or something...

Generic small time football blather thread 2015/16

That's quite a good combo actually. Goddammit Villa, stay down. -
That is quite possibly the fastest response to anything that this club has managed in years.

I'm rooting for the zombies personally.

such detail...

I guess that's a shame then. If he's good enough to be a manager elsewhere then he probably would have added something. Hopefully we'll get someone good though.

Um...who? I must be well out of the loop on coaching staff...

Basically agree. If we can get around £10m for him, it's essentially more money in the budget for an area we're not overstocked in.

Aye, to be fair - judging by that other thread, if a few refereeing decisions had gone our way that didn't we'd have been midtable. Our squad is not that shit.

I do see what you're saying but I've felt for a couple of seasons that the reason there was such dominance at the top of the league was predominantly due to CL money. The PL has effectively eaten away at the proportion of overall income that CL qualification grants though, which means, financially speaking, teams are much closer to an even footing. On top of that, to get hold of the players who will actually improve them, the top teams will be paying through the eyes. The lower teams won't be I reckon - they'll pay a slight premium but will only really have to outbid European clubs of a similar stature, not the heavyweights. So the superclubs might get one or two world class players, but the others could feasibly get 4 or 5 very good players with a greater overall impact. Could be wrong like, but I think the PL has fundamentally changed.

Not disagreeing per we but if there's one things the Man Utds of this world showed us last year it's that spending mental amounts of money is a guarantee of fuck all. I reckon it'll be a close league for all concerned. Actually, we're a pretty good example of that as well

I do support Remain, but I reckon it'll happen with or without Corbyn. I think this is one of those times I can have my cake and eat it tbh, risky as that may sound. Otherwise agree that this doesn't seem to be high on Labour's priorities, and that this is likely because Corbyn doesn't support it.

Not sure the Germans will win it tbh, they've been poor recently (by their standards). Reckon this is the kind of tournament where England could have a chance if we weren't so shit at internationals. As it is, I reckon Portugal, Croatia or Belgium. Teams from that standing, just below the heavyweights.
