I think part of it is they are using algorithms which if they need to stick to for litiginous reasons. My mum has insane blood pressure. Lots of times she has been to see them, because it is potentially catastrophically high, she gets sent to Cramlington or the RVI which ends up being a day out of my life. Gets all the scans, then released and back to square one. We just refuse now. Similarly for MH I imagine anyone with suicidal ideation is sent off to secondary care in short order. Talking of which, when I was on the metro this morning a woman nearly threw herself in front of the train. The driver stopped and located her and she was in a right state "I just want to die...". Nice way to start my first office day of the year.

I know several GPs who would happily kill you for this comment. Fwiw, GPs have a highly skilled job and are an absolutely critical part of the NHS (although to be pedantic, they are outwith the NHS). They can deal with 80% of your health problems. Yes, they are also gatekeepers which is an important role also. No, they don't know everything. But they know where to find information and will be able to correctly interpret a Google result. If they don't, they risk being struck off. Nevertheless, like everything else, there are good and bad GPs, and like everybody else, they have off days. But overall, hats off to them. Can you even imagine seeing 20 to 30 patients a day, with all sorts of conditions, doing physical exams, admin, etc? No fucking way would I do it.

Yep.

Only 40% chance of top 5? Bollocks.

I knew a woman who went to SJP in the days of Robson, Platinum club, purely for the social aspect (drink). She only knew two players - Shearer and Given. She once asked me why "they" keep singing "Sore knees". "Erm, you mean Geordies?". She was more clued up than this fucker.

Thing is, not just Isak, all our big signings under Howe have been superb. I can't think of a flop. But "My name is Keith, I'm thick as whale spunk, if not thicker" has decried all of them at some point. I can certainly remember him saying it about Gordon, Tino and Hall. It's like they did a brain transplant on him, but forgot to put in the brain. Even his fellow SMBers think he is as thick as pigshit.

Why aye, a knarr what you mean like. Them fookin Gooners divn't tak proper man. My boss is an Arsenal "fan". From India, lives in America, never been to Emirates or Highbury (I've been to both). In fact I know loads of Arsenal "fans" from work who are similar, due to the invincible period.

Maybe not but fuck me we are getting closer to winning something. Genuinely think it's this year.

He should yawn and put his feet up.

Think some stat that we lost the last 7 he wasn’t playing. Amazing result this.
-
Tino too. Think we've got the best full backs in the league and they're almost kids.

We shut up shop for 100 minutes 2 years ago there and it worked.

Hotel booked. 1) Hope I haven't Gemmilled us. 2) Any volunteers on here to look after my kids?

Imagine this.

Sounds like my GP. Saw the GP a few weeks ago because I was running out of topical drugs to treat my eczema, which I could feel was flaring up, but wasn't that bad at that time. Being proactive based on decades of personal experience. She was absolutely obnoxious, gave me a prescription then and there and told me to self refer to secondary care if I felt it was getting on top of me (I think this was partly because I refused to have UV therapy for a lot of reasons). So anyway, today I try to get a repeat prescription on my NHS app and she has stopped everything. No medication review, nothing, just stopped my prescription without even telling me. So now a flare is pretty inevitable which will mean I get genuinely ill and will need antibiotics. Going ther in person this afternoon which I can do as its near but still. Oh aye, and cos of global shortages, made much worse by Brexit, even once I get the prescription it will take weeks for some products to get dispensed if at all. Primary care is a shambles and needs to be the focus of NHS reform imo.

I think that means you're a maximum of 5 years old?

Jummy Smith, opening day match against Wolves which we won 3-2. We finished 12th that year and never won anything again.
