Agreed. I don't get the point about clubs not honouring player's contracts. Its up to the manager whether they get selected or not, play in the reserves etc. That's not a breach of contract, they still get paid (unlike a regular job btw, where you just get fired or made redundant). Isak is clearly breaching the terms of his contract, actively damaging the club, and colluding with an opponent club. Its pretty unprecedented.

And the understatement of the day goes to....
-
Just sign him up with the view of ending his career here, resale value is not important. He might save us 20 points and progression in the CL. Take a gamble on a European too.
-
You say it like it's a bad thing.

I'd love to go, isn't happening any time soon though. I remember 20 years ago everybody said restaurants were prohibitively expensive. The reverse was true for the US, but this has flipped on both counts.
-
So? They've gazumped us over every target and looks like have stopped our progress full stop. Isak is just one player who happens to be on our books. They'll soon be unsettling the rest of our assets. PSR is working just fine for them.
-
Problem is if he's Wilsons replacement and we don't replace Isak he's potentially still our only striker. So he's Wilsons replacement in the era before we signed Isak. And he is a massive downgrade from the Wilson of that era. We are in a surreal position at this point. I just hope some common sense, some need for mutual benefits, can prevail.

What is he, a 1 in 4 games a goal striker? Got to be worse than Jackson surely? Oh God this is getting so depressing.
-
Cos he's absolute shite? ✅

Why can't we part exchange with the sulking Judas? Or even give them Isak with an option to buy. PSG being one of the biggest clubs in the World surely the cunt isn't going to object?
-
Aye. There must be some fucker in a top European side we can get, surely? We are absolutely fucked without a striker.
-
When can a club force a contracted player out against his will? Why didn't Sunderland force Rodwell out? Complete bullshit. The contract is there to protect both the club and the player. If you don't like it, don't sign it.
-
Keep it up. He'll be sycamore jokes like this.
-
Are you the new Jimbo's telly?
-
Well, he does really help with his assist record. 🤷♂️

Looked over at the SMB and noticed there Isak thread, on the hidden page, was only a few pages longer since last night. Maybe they're concentrating on their own players at last I thought. Then I looked on the public page. 66 PAGES in 12 hours or so. More than 10,000 posts on Isak in the space of less than a month, more than 3 times we have made in 3 years....

I'm not sure the money is that much benefit either. The knowledge other clubs have that we've got the money is actually a block to us signing anyone. Other than PSR, I doubt the Saudis will value a mere £150 million above their pride and sense of injustice.

Thinking about it, I am doing interviews right now for a position at my work. When judging candidates, a key point is the motivation for the interviewee should be how they can contribute and improve the company, with reasons of personal advancement second. Isak's statement was just me, me, me. It stinks. He always seemed quite measured and calm when he scored his goals, didn't show the pure joy other players did like Gordon or Bruno, Burn, any of them. Its not impossible he has psychopathic personality.
-
Its not like the fans ever took any notice of him though.
-
This makes sense to me tbh.

I think you need to apologise to @Rayvin
