  1. Ashley is such a cunt. Let no one forget that
  2. Also good to see Nick Sobotka turn up as the world's tallest leprechaun
  3. Just finished the latest seasons of Better Call Saul and Fargo. I thought both were excellent, probably the best season so far in the case of BCS. Again I really liked the strong female characters in Fargo. Just started on American Gods. Looks canny so far although I had to read up on it after episode one as I didn't have a clue wtf was going on half the time.
  4. What sort of person runs as a Tory in a council election in Felling?
  5. Doorman, fanzine editor, bit-part actor, self-appointed fans' spokesman and now this
  6. Think the Kovalev fight took a lot out of Hopkins and lead to that humiliation in his last fight (and, thankfully, his subsequent retirement). Hopkins still reckoned it was a push like He couldn't give Calzaghe any credit either. Anyhow, speaking of GGG, I quite fancy Canelo to beat him. Should be great fight either way. And, I totally agree re: Mayweather, he's got nowt to prove.
  7. If they Lib Dems get full PR and cancelling article 50 I think they'll got for it
  8. I knew that actually. 48 cans or something wasn't it? Reminds me of Mike Brierley's book The Art of Captaincy when he's going on about how the authorities were trying to clamp down on the loutish behaviour at the MCG for the Boxing Day Test so they restricted the amount of beer one person could bring in to one slab, i.e. 24 cans per person
  9. What a bunch of knackers, or cunts, or both, or neither.
  10. It's a long way from Hampshire.
  11. A lot of taxi drivers would love to earn the same sort of money as Lewis Hamilton
  12. Can't believe they'd go for it again after the last time.
  13. Like Gloom says, it suggests they don't feel they can rely on their own MPs to get stuff through Parliament.
  14. I think because his style has always been about swarming all over his opponents and the quantity of punches thrown then it's inevitable that his ability has been more diminished as time has caught up with him (unlike a 'boxer' where it's perhaps not so much the case). Although you can see why he'd think about fighting again given he got a reported $10m for the fight. At what point does it become a massive threat to your health (especially in later life) though? It's really sad when you see people like Roy Jones and, to a lesser extent, Bernard Hopkins.
  15. Talk about the government holding secret meetings with the Lib Dems now.
  16. Read a bit more about it and seen a decent length (about 10 mins) highlights package and after watching it and seeing the comments from some experts etc. I think are trustworthy the consensus seems to be it was a close fight, even if many thought Pacquiao edged it. From what I saw Horn certainly had plenty of success and to come back the way he did after looking finished in the 9th showed he has a lot of guts. You have to be happy for Horn either way as, like you say, it was a fantastic achievement and what a great story.
  17. Well, it's just a box-ticking exercise. And the fans daft enough to get involved (and stay involved, once that's obvious) must just like the poxy sense of importance it gives them.
