  1. You'd probably like The Witness for the Prosecution that was on over Xmas. As DK was saying it's not quite as good as And Then There Were None (also Agatha Christie and adapted by the same team I believe) but it's really good and atmospheric, albeit in Edwardian as opposed to Victorian London.
  2. I think someone on here (might've been you) said during the season it was a more extreme version of when we came 5th. I might also add I think they had a better manager last season than we did when we came 5th
  3. They definitely got lucky with injuries as well, aye.
  4. She's even less likeable than Trump. Did some decent pop tunes about 30 years ago.
  5. I think they just had a few players in the form of their lives. Vardy and Mahrez in particular.
  6. Who was that poster on N-O (occasionally posted on here) who reckoned he got his lass to shit on a glass coffee table while he lay underneath? Given some of his other posts I don't think it would've been a massive surprise if he was telling the truth.
  7. The opening scenes of SPR blew me away but after that it's just a really good war film. I actually think The Thin Red Line, which came out around the same time, is a better movie
  8. Think he obviously was/is a big player for both clubs but Leicester were always going to struggle a bit this season. I don't think there's much chance of them going down either.
  9. I thought we were meant to be the deluded ones. Why would Hughton want to swap Brighton for there?
  10. Shut your face, unless you want the Flora treatment.
  11. Why don't they just impose retrospective bans for cheating if they want to make the game more entertaining?
  12. Those ideas are up there with Youth Hostelling with Chris Eubank and Arm Wrestling with Chas and Dave
  13. Succinctly put. That's it for me like
  14. Agreed. Hooper was meant to be fantastic in training (at NUFC and LFC). Obviously just didn't have the temperament required. It's especially important since one clanger can have such a big impact and you can't necessarily redeem yourself by doing having a positive impact afterwards.
  15. Remember being there when some of the crowd was chanting "Super Hooper" when he came on for Pav at Filbert Street (Albert PL debut / Robbie Elliot chicken dance / Pedro broken cheek bone). Think he'd been on about 5 mins when he dropped a clanger which lead to a goal being conceded
  16. Not in the same league but he reminds me of Scholes at times the way he just seems to stroll about but find that area of space.
  17. Not on the same level re: inconvenience but me Dad was one of the many who had his blue disabled badge taken off him. He's got two conditions, one's a fucked ankle from his football days and the other is a serious heart condition. While he's quite fit for his age despite that he is in his 70s. It's basically more than just an inconvenience for him to walk very far. The assessment process was pretty much the same as HMHM describes. He had several letters from consultants and the bloke doing the assessment wouldn't even look at them as it was already decided. I realise people do abuse them but this certainly wasn't the case with my Dad. The whole thing has a very unpleasant smell about it.
  18. I just don't find John Oliver funny at all. Don't disgaree with the sentiment but he bores the tits off me
  19. Not really got anything to add other than I hope it all gets sorted out for you and your good lady, HMHM
