We're talking about where he is now, or you and Holden McGroin were though. Why would a 30 year old go and play in a shit league on a comparatively shit contract if he thought he could cut it? He knows he's been sussed and has took the easy option. Lascelles looked head and shoulders above him at the back end of last season as well. And his whole NUFC career has been played after an 'injury layoff'. Anyone who rates him is fucking clueless

Aye, but we bought Woodgate in the January for a hefty fee, which people tend to forget. Brought in Ambrose too before that season was out. Not that he was any good but he was a player SBR wanted.

Like he'd have to think about it. I bet the Real Madrid 'link' has come from his agent. I'd love those horrible cunts to sign him mind- 1745 replies

Think DK has a good point re: losing something if the bowlers are then under utilised if you have too many of them though.
-
Agree to an extent with CT re: Shelvey but would play him for his creativity as he's comfortably the best passer we have in midfield.

The people who wanted to remain are to blame for the economy performing badly after a leave vote  Even CT doesn't believe this shit

There's that as well.

The comparison isn't apt because Taylor is, and always has been, shite, whereas Villa was world class before his injury. And Taylor's spent most of his career injured. Apart from that though

I think Ward's got more power than he's given credit for. I give him a bit of a chance. Pascal caused him a few problems and Ward's a much better boxer than Pascal.

Six years believing a PM who said we're all in this together only to leave the country in the shit he created once the going got a bit tough. Btw: is this really a thing? http://shop.conservatives.com/product97024/were-all-in-this-together-poster.aspx

I think he'll stay at 6 tbh. He is good enough to bat even higher though. And I take your point. I think they'll play virtually every match with 4 seamers and a spinner. As for the bowling, all the better, especially as Anderson hasn't got too long left.

He's far from shit at own goals

2 years older after winning just everything there is to win with absolutely fuck all to prove and after a broken leg had left him about 75% the player he was. Apart from that though.
-
 Is that why he's gone to the MLS at the age of 30?

I think Bell's gone. I take your point and I'd like to have seen that done anyway. I think they'd have gone for a specialist batsman though. Looking ahead, I think Stokes could easily bat at 5

Someone like Borthwick or Bell-Drummond from the Lions squad. I think they'd have made a cautious selection based on being 2-1 up and the middle order batting still looking a bit fragile.
