I think that's probably about right. He can really sound at times and knows loads about the club and football in general. Then every now and again he goes off it about something. He's been through a lot tbf, although he was always like that before all that. I always thought he was a bit insecure which ties in with what you were saying. I think he's a miss because he can be fucking hilarious at times.

People go on about Wenger and his philosophy but the only times he's had genuine success at Arsenal (relative to the club size, it's history and potential etc.) is when he's been pragmatic enough to have the likes of Petit, Vieira and Gilberto in the middle, had an extremely solid back 4/5 and included grafters like Ljungberg and Parlour. His current 'philosophy' set against that is basically a regression.

Think he's classed as an academy product but we bought him off Bristol City when he was 16. Not really sure you can class that as anything other being one of the rare occaisions when we've taken a punt on a young kid who's actually turned out to look like he has a bit of potential. Even then he's achieved nothing of note.
