  1. What a tit Plus loads of reserved seats aren't taken up anyway on most journeys. Quality response from Virgin.
  2. With Dirk Bogarde? Aye, I've seen that. It was years and years ago though.
  3. Aye, international football is where a manager with no plan B would get found out you would think.
  4. It's 1930s-ish. I loved the old film version of it with Ronald Fraser as Uncle Jim when I was a kid.
  5. As an aside, in the Observer (again) at the weekend, the film review bit mentioned that Swallows and Amazons didn't reflect the culturally diverse country we have become.
  6. I thought you must've been off to google it when you told us not to. I have since and there appears to be no definitive answer anyway
  7. You fucking tit I was thinking to myself like, it would be virtually impossible to give any sort of definitive answer.
  8. Thought about the LA River too. That's in loads of films
  9. Out of interest, CT - do you actually know the answer? I thought it might be the Bradbury Building. Had to google it for the name like. It's used in Bladerunner (interior) but the outside is used in loads of films
  10. Well I don't think there was much between him, Bruce or Allardyce in that they're all very ordinary but I don't see the soi-disant king of football not being interested in the England job. Maybe I'm wrong and he thinks it's a thankless task. It certainly used to be the case that the FA reckoned no one have ever turned it down.
  11. The 'ruling himself out' patter suggests to me his agent had a sniff about and found out the FA weren't that keen.
  12. I did think about Bollywood like. But thought there was more history in Hollywood. Bet you googled it btw
  13. The Hollywood sign? Given most American movies are made there and they've been making them for over 100 years.
  14. Wondered if you'd picked up on the reference (Steppenwolf). Edit: for Seamus
  15. Alex

    Steve Harper

Good news. I was pissed off when he left because, amongst other reasons, it seemed to just be letting all that experience gained playing go to waste.
  16. I'm about 100 pages into Wolf Hall. Been meaning to read it for ages as I got it as a Christmas present a few years ago when it won the Booker. Can't help but think of Mark Rylance as Cromwell.
