I think, given it was 1933, even the adults could've been taking the piss. Her uncles later connections make it dodgy though, whether it was at the time or not. Hitler had only just come to power though. In 1936 the world went to Berlin for the Olympics when a fair bit more was known about Hitler and the Nazis. Even more so in the 1938 incident I refer to. Not saying the players were to blame or anything. I just think it being 1933 makes a lot of difference to the context of such a gesture.

Pretty sure KK played (came on as sub) and did a bow to the Gallowgate, Waddle and Gazza played too I think. Used to go to a canny few athletics meets at Gateshead too as it happens.

Was at that game btw

Roadblock was probably the best thing they ever did, which is ironic really given they didn't even pretend to be someone else on that one.

First album I ever bought was Duran Duran (Seven and the Ragged Tiger). On cassette, of course.

I'm reminded of Neville Chamberlain's famous words on the toilet....

I think that's ok if you're about 9, which you probably were. Liked a bit of Nik Kershaw around the same age. Phil Collins always reminds me of the player profiles in Shoot and Match annuals as he always seemed to be their favourite pop star.

Not really my cup of char, even back then. Level 42 are a guilty pleasure mind.

There was loads of good stuff in the 80s. None of which CT was in to

Must've been the best part of 30 years ago like, 87 or something like that.

She was hot in that video

Btw, this bollocks about the Queen. I'm far from a staunch royalist but the England football team gave a Nazi salute in Berlin, under orders from the Foreign Office, a fair bit later (1938).

Website has been in the sights for ages. Big competition for the likes of the Mail's and the Times. It's free and ad free, which just won't do, obviously.

Used to have quite a thing for her and Paula Abdul

He had the game to back up the arrogance. Unlike Groves. Anyone catch the Carl Frampton fight? He was lucky as such because he deservedly won on points but he made very hard work of it, especially in the early rounds. Down twice in round one and quite badly hurt in round two. Respect for coming back against what turned out to be a very awkward opponent.

Watched the first 3 episodes of Jason Donovan at the weekend. It's canny entertaining. It is a bit cheesy though. Plus, he looks like a chipmunk.

Nice of England to give the Aussies the chance to watch the golf.
