  1. I think that's ok if you're about 9, which you probably were. Liked a bit of Nik Kershaw around the same age. Phil Collins always reminds me of the player profiles in Shoot and Match annuals as he always seemed to be their favourite pop star.

    Missed that. Uncanny.
  3. Not really my cup of char, even back then. Level 42 are a guilty pleasure mind.
  4. There was loads of good stuff in the 80s. None of which CT was in to
  5. Must've been the best part of 30 years ago like, 87 or something like that.
  6. Btw, this bollocks about the Queen. I'm far from a staunch royalist but the England football team gave a Nazi salute in Berlin, under orders from the Foreign Office, a fair bit later (1938).

Website has been in the sights for ages. Big competition for the likes of the Mail's and the Times. It's free and ad free, which just won't do, obviously.
  8. Used to have quite a thing for her and Paula Abdul
  9. He had the game to back up the arrogance. Unlike Groves. Anyone catch the Carl Frampton fight? He was lucky as such because he deservedly won on points but he made very hard work of it, especially in the early rounds. Down twice in round one and quite badly hurt in round two. Respect for coming back against what turned out to be a very awkward opponent.
  10. Watched the first 3 episodes of Jason Donovan at the weekend. It's canny entertaining. It is a bit cheesy though. Plus, he looks like a chipmunk.
  11. Nice of England to give the Aussies the chance to watch the golf.
  12. http://www.cricketweb.net/statsspider/player/graph/408307-Test-12.php There you go.
  13. Yes, he did bat at 3 a lot, but he batted at 4 a lot more. Gower batted at 3 a lot too, but he got more runs batting at 4. I agree it's a crucial position, but it's also a specialist position, a bit like opening. I feel Root has found his natural place in the side. I'd rather not tinker with a position where there isn't a problem.
  14. So why did you pick a batsman, one of the all time greats, who scored the vast majority of his runs and centuries batting at number 4 in tests (and was the best batsman in his team throughout his career) to illustrate your point that the best batsman bat at 3? Because that was the point you were attempting to make, if you care to check.
  15. He batted at 4 much more often than he batted at 3 in tests so I'm not sure what your point is meant to be there.
  16. And Root has struggled when he's batted up the order.
  17. What number did Steve Waugh bat at?
  18. You pick a different batsman, you don't move someone averaging 70 at number 5.
