He’s the one who would be mates with Toby Young of either of them had any friends 👍🏻

The expansion of the tournament ironically, rather than the format itself* has created the elite players being concentrated in fewer clubs. *appreciate that’s a bit chicken and egg, but there used to be two group stages the last time we were in it.
-
As to the other point, even the inaugural tournament in 55-56 was played over two legs until the final.

Shows how well the mackems are doing on their budget when you think that, as recently as the autumn, they’d have given these sides a good game
-
Rod Liddle is such a fucking cunt. Which is also inarguable

It’s fucking mental where they’re now at the point where they’re having to go on national tv and defend blatant racism. And the only mitigation is the bloke they're defending said sorry after a particular unpleasant example of his racist behaviour was made public. And they’re only doing it because he’s their biggest donor. They are so fucked

It blew my mind a bit (despite being aware of the distances / sizes involved) when Brian Cox did this on tv. It’s a really good way of illustrating the vast emptiness of space (even just within our own solar system).

Really sorry to hear about your news @Dr Gloom fingers crossed for your mother-in-law x

Really can’t see it happening. He’s a busted flush anyway and I reckon Howe has until about a third of the way through next season at the very least.

Particularly like how they could theoretically go to Rwanda and fly straight back and claim asylum whilst making a couple of grand in the process

Mine came courtesy of Ian Levy. Current Blyth Valley MP but standing in the newly formed constituency of Cramlington and Killingworth at the next GE. Electoral Calculus rates his chances of winning at 2%

Just lying to people in general tbh. I know it’s been discussed and Renton or yourself might’ve been the first to make the point. But they got away with it talking about some future promised land, free of EU red tape and regulations with ‘sovereignty’ reinstated, less immigration, greater prosperity etc. They can’t get away with lying about stuff they’ve already caused though. Although talk of low taxes from the party that introduced a record tax burden whilst simultaneously destroying public services, making global inflation pressures even worse, making your mortgage costs thousands of pounds more and just generally making everyone bar the super rich and wealthy retirees significantly poorer is, what the Americans would call, a doozy

Nice one, mate. Congratulations!
-
Not to mention that it’s took his acting like a massive fucking racist to shine a light in how corrupt his relationship is with the government/Tory party
-
Just take the piss out of him and he’ll block you. He’s incredibly thin-skinned. As well as being an absolute gob shite chancer playing at ITK.
-
I think there’s something to that. But I also think you need to be pragmatic. If you don’t deliver in the here and now you’ll get the push eventually. There’s also the point about adaptability. Which relates to HMHM’s comments about how the game continually moves on. In any case, I think unless you’re at Man City / Liverpool / Real Madrid levels then you need to shape the way you play according to your opponents at times.
-
Well if his friend, who is white and a Tory peer, says he’s not racist then that’s the debate finished with
-
A lot of people seem to completely miss the point that Abbott comes under so much scrutiny and is held up to different standards because she’s a black, female Labour MP.

He sounds lovely

That international rules or whatever it’s called where they combine Aussie Rules and Gaelic Football btw. Does that still exist? What a parcel that is

Legally there needs to be 5 weeks / 25 working days from Parliament being dissolved and the election date. This means the former would have to happen on 26th March, if the general election were to coincide with the local ones pencilled in for 2nd May.

Absolutely fucking desperate stuff from Ian Levy’s campaign team that dropped through my letterbox today particularly on page 2:
