I love Burn and you could see why he was played ahead of Targett in what was almost a back 3. But you can already see how much more Tino offers at LB

So, if we pretend it’s true for a moment, it’s supposed to be a bad thing that a player that previously dived all the time and (as is inferred) bottled out of tackles, is now a player who physically imposes himself in games? They’re not just inventing stuff, they’re inventing stuff that’s actually a positive thing for NUFC and suggesting it’s ‘evil’? Rather than being played in positions that suit him better under a far superior coaching system.

This parliamentary procedure stuff, where you can’t accuse someone of lying (and can be ejected from the chamber if you do) is all part of the archaic game it is to the likes of Cleverly. That’s why they don’t want that sort of thing changed. Like that cunt Christopher Chope who regularly prevents private members bills, seemingly just for a good old chortle. Despite putting forward loads of private members bills himself. I’d reform the whole thing from top to bottom, as almost everything about it is out of date. From the procedures to the electoral system.

This reminds me of my mam informing me of deaths and illnesses of various people I ‘know’. As in I went to school with a younger relative or something. So it’s a relation to someone I might not have seen in 30-odd years and I’m supposed to know who they are and feign interest. Even though I don’t, so I don’t

We’ve mentioned this before but I’ll watch the football bit on Look North if it just happens to be on. Everybody who wants to will already have either watched the match live and / or seen more extensive highlights from any number of sources anyway. A fair few of them seem to avidly watch LN to time the amount of coverage they get relative to us etc. Just another NUFC-related activity they partake in only to wind themselves up. They also ignore Jeff Brown being a mackem in their cries of bias. And let’s not forget their long running feud against (what they perceive to be) Uber-Mag Dawn Thewlis.

I like how they flip flop on there between the fetishisation of violence (especially from their own lot) and considering themselves to be the most beloved, sound supporters around. Without a hint of self-awareness

I’d mentioned previously how I thought he lost weight to the benefit of his game. He never looked fat but he looked like he’d bulked up with muscle he didn’t need. Like you say it seemed to make him slow and cumbersome. He’s a unit anyway, so like you say it pointed to a lack of a proper training regime tailored to his specific needs

Reading that it sums Ashley up. Talk about penny wise and pound foolish. What a fucking clueless cunt he was. The amount of morons who trotted out the line about him being a great businessman who ran the club in the correct manner too. I doubt he even made anything out of the club over the course of his ownership. Also great stuff from Lascelles. He always seemed like a great lad with a top attitude but I doubt you’d have many people who thought he was good enough to be 4th choice central defender. It’s brilliant to see him proving so many of us wrong.

I thought Early Doors was better than The Royle Family. It was in BBC4 again a while back. I had a look and it’s still on iPlayer, although season 1 is only available for another month. I might watch them again actually. I think Aherne was meant to be involved but she’d made it big and moved to the States

Cocker Spaniels and the associated cross-breeds are fucking nuts but totally loveable with it the dopey fuckers are hilarious

The way they go on about their young players as well, man. Genuinely thinking the likes of Clarke (who is 23 and hasn’t played in the PL iirc) could fetch upwards of £25m. Basically their most saleable asset and no one is bidding half that. I concede they’ve got some good young players. And their academy has done well for them down the years too. But we’ve undoubtedly got a better set of young talent, including a few home grown ones. They go on like they’ve got the next set of Busby Babes despite being outside the playoff places and nowhere near the automatic promotion spots

Listen to the rock star here, looking down on lesser mortals now the fame has gone to his head

What’s his fucking point? Apart from talking absolute shite, Tonali is still unavailable so effectively the same as having someone injured for the season. Then there’s Murphy, Burn, Wilson, Anderson, Botman, Barnes, Longstaff, Willock who are all either first team starters or would ordinarily be on the bench. Then Lewis Hall couldn’t face his parent club. Then there’s Krafth, Manquillo and Targett who would have all been in contention because of all the other injuries. We had a 17 year old starting and 3 keepers on the bench. There are quasars less dense than this cunt

The other fella too. Classic RTG, i.e. already getting annoyed about something that hasn’t happened yet

I’ve met him on several occasions and all I can say is that I think you have too

I noticed the 3pm Kickoffs thread on there had disappeared by about 5 o’clock yesterday afternoon so they obviously reacted to our result with their usual good grace.
-
I really like him as a player but the injuries are a big concern. Like others have said it would be a real shame as he offers something different
