Newcastle Fans: What Do You REALLY Think of PIF’s Ownership? 🗣️

I definitely think it’s useful from a statistical/analytical pov. But there are obvious weaknesses to it. As has been mentioned, and in particular the point ewerk makes above. I guess though that there’s lots of situations where you can’t have nuance. E.g. the finishing ability of the person the chance falls to. Because then you introduce too much bias and human subjectivity. If you look at something like expected points, which I believe is essentially an extrapolation of xG, then it probably gives a good explanation as to why someone like Forest can’t sustain their form over the whole season. It also has the usefulness of being an easy method of winding Gemmill up

He properly fucking despises himself. Which is nice

Perhaps Fish has taken to treating everyone else’s posts the same way others treat his

Imagine* *except they don’t have to

Just got this through the door. These young conservatives* are so weird, man. He looks like he was grown in a test tube. * no mention of his affiliation on the cover of course

I quite like it but my greyhound went berserk when this came on. Make of that what you will
-
Those making those comments deserve him for buying the media narrative about him being a good owner tbh. Plus I’ve never liked Sheff Wed

Aye plus the way the whole topic has been weaponised makes it difficult to make legislation changes on it from a political pov. Plus imagine being the policy team tasked with actually drafting the legislation on it? It would be an absolute fucking minefield to try and navigate. The campaigners who ‘won’ their case against the Scottish government though. They can, as they say up there, get tae fucking fuck. It’s all very reminiscent of Section 28. I was recently thinking about things like that and also stuff like the policy on drugs amongst other things and how it basically hasn’t progressed since I was a kid at school in the 80s.

I used to work with a bloke in his forties who wore Lynx Africa

It’s a Supreme Court ruling though. Labour could subsequently legislate against it but I don’t think you can put this on them. And say this as someone who agrees with your general sentiment re: this government at present

I saw Daltrey performing live about 10 years ago (tv not in person) and his voice was absolutely shot then. It must be embarrassing now. Never really got The Who anyway though. Even the stuff from at their peak leaves me completely cold

Can’t think why we don’t get more lasses posting on here

Turned out nice again

YouTube music has loads of obscure dance stuff from years back. Not available to stream on the likes of Apple. If that’s your thing it’s something to consider. Presumably because the label has folded so no one owns the rights and/or any existing copies aren’t high enough quality. So it’s just stuff where people have uploaded a recording of their vinyl copy or whatever
-
I presume they make more money off adverts. But either way you’d think they’d get easily more than double the subscribers if they charged half the price
-
I’ve gone down a rabbit hole (to the extent I might buy a YouTube subscription, to avoid those pesky adverts) in watching BBC Archive. I think there’s some of it but only a little bit on iPlayer. But there’s fucking weeks’ worth of clips (and whole programmes) on YouTube. This is an incredible interview btw:

Aye. Inconsistent but still spending loads and winning the odd trophy. Not quite trudging through that decade they had some great players (Bryan Robson is massively underrated these days). -
Aye. He’s gone dependent on a decent offer. And if we have to then someone like Neave will take his place for the academy player (or however it’s termed) in the squad for European games. I take Andrew’s point but he’s not got enough quality in terms technical ability. If I’m wrong I am not that bothered because I definitely think he’s still a decent squad player

And their activism wouldn’t be limited to football matches they’re attending

I’m honestly considering opening a magic bean shop on Wearside: https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/jamal-khashoggi-way-newcastle.1653147/#post-42607594

Aye. I found that out a canny while back but yeah, it’s an odd one

Ratcliffe will have probably only got rid of Ashworth because he wanted a scapegoat as well.
