  1. taking you off ignore for this one leazes. nice to see you trying a different posting line for once. keep up the good work! obertan for all his pace and tidy close control, looks a bit of a donkey to me. time is on his side of course so too early to say he won't come good but he doesn't look to have a football brain. sometimes that just can't be coached into some players, despite having the raw attributes to succeed and potential, which obertan clearly does. he's got pace to burn and his close control at times looks quality. i'm more optimistic about marveaux if i'm honest. possibly because i haven't seen as much of him. what i've seen though i've liked. looks pacey too and seems to have a better delivery on him than obertan. still probably too early to tell on him too for sure but the signs are more promising. his injury record isn't the best either so we'll have to wait to see if he gets a proper run in the side.
  2. leazesmag is killing this forum. that's beyond question. people, particularly those that have him on ignore - and i include myself here, should try harder to ignore him. the problem is he hijacks every thread and diverts whatever topic is being discussed back to his agenda. it's infuriating. people shouldn't bite so much but you can't escape it. even with him in ignore, all i end up reading is people replying to him and endless blocked replies from him. i wouldn't strictly advocate a ban but something has to be done because this place is going down the pan - more warnings and creche punishments? a new leazes subforum and warnings for anyone that takes this crap to the main board? we should all be buzzing about the football right now, not going back and forth over an argument that's lasted over 6 years for fuck's sake. we should be attracting new posters to chat about the quality we've seen on the pitch this season and what the future might hold but anyone reading this shite must take one look then fuck off over to NO, which is sad really because all the craic here, beyond the incessant arguing with leazes, is way better. i don't know what the solution is. i'd like to think LM could change, he could grow the fuck up and drop it. but he won't of course. he wants to have the same argument every day. that's why he's comes here and posts the same shite every day for 6 FUCKING YEARS!!!! a ban has to be the last resort. something has to be done though, the majority of us on here are board to fuck with this. perhaps it could be put to a poll.
  3. hard to believe leazesmag has been having this same argument on this board for 6 years now. and people are STILL having it out with him. for the sake of this place....please let it lie.
  4. I should have known better than to start a thread on the Newcastle board. They all end up like this. Leazesmag, please go away already. We've all had enough of you.
  5. Where I live is probably about 50-60 per cent white. I used to live in Brixton, where whites are in the minority. I've yet to see any racism of any form. And yet when I go home, old mates are on about darkies and pakis and no one bats an eyelid. That's not saying they're racist. It's just that in my experience it's more acceptable to make generalisations about a minority group when it's a small minority. You tend to notice people more when they stand out for being different. People tend not to give a fuck down here because we all live alongside each other. Though obviously there might be some parts of town where I dont go where there might be more of a problem.
  6. Well I'm the second person then. Been living here 12 years too and I've yet to see the sort of thing you're talking about. That's not to say there arent racist tools here, like in every town. But if anything I'd say the capital's multiculturalism makes people less prejudiced. There's less of a fear of the unknown down here than in places where ethnic minorities make up a small minority of the population. People of all races live side by side and by and large, get on.
  7. tbh, lads that obsess too much about their bodies usually do so to hide a lack of personality. there's a group of lads i see down the gym quite often, all built like the lads off geordie shore, all thick as two short planks with the worst craic i've ever heard.
  8. nice to see some positive pr coming from the club for once
  9. munich and berlin are nice at christmas time too, nice chirstmas markets etc
  10. what? you're saying you'd date a lad with bf percentage of higher more than 6%? i'm shocked
  11. it's really just a way of measuring how lean or fat you look. would you not prefer a lad with a flat stomach to love handles and man boobs? measuring body fat percentage is just a more accurate way of measuring fat loss than looking at the scales. and reading back through this thread, most who've posted are obsessed to some level about their shape of their body. women have always cared about the way their bodies look, judging by this thread, most men care these days too.
  12. i tell you what mind, this drought is getting serious now innit. better start enforcing that hosepipe ban
  13. most of them are lean these days too. you don't get too many fatties playing the game like you used to. they're just loaded with muscle too.
  14. it's no different to talking about weight loss, which is what most people in this thread are banging on about. body fat is just a more accurate way of measuring increase in fitness and fat loss. the whole thread is gay tbh. but then most men today would be accused of being gay by their counterparts from a decade ago. lbt just took it to new levels of gayness by posting the torso of the week snap. but i bet the majority on here use face cream, moisturiser or trim body hair, even if they're too scared to admit it.
  15. can't stop peter beardsley watch his feet he'll drive you crazy dribble dribble dribble dribble
  16. fucking hell. pepe rolling around like a little bitch. what happened to kaka btw? he used to be one of the best in the world - can he not get in real's starting 11?
  17. got to agree. i'm often quite shocked by the casual racism dropped into conversation i hear back home. it's all harmless stuff, nothing hateful, but not the kind of thing you'd get away with saying in polite conversation down here. london's a lot more pc. i agree it's not as friendly though. that goes without saying.
  18. i used to live on cavendish road fish, technically balham but nearest tube was clapham south. sometimes used to have to wait on the platform for three tubes before being able to get on one, the crowds often being three or four deep. then after finally getting on, it's standing with some random's armpit in your face for half an hour. been stuck in tunnels on crowded trains after a signal failure more times than i want to remember too. basically, i'll only ride the tube now if i have to. can't stand it.
  19. you're looking 9 or 10 per cent to me from that pic. you clearly putting the hours in down the gym. how clean do you have to eat to maintain? that's my problem. struggle big time to maintain below 12%. i guess i love my booze and guilty pleasure food a bit too much
  20. Pedro for me. Technically the best. Though Ben arfa could match him in time.
  21. not sure you've chosen the right board to make that statement!
  22. i used to live in balham. it's nice. but the worst thing about living there - by a country mile - is the northern line. i have nightmares about using it, it's the busiest and probably the most unpleasant tube line in the city. moving to somewhere on the overground will change your life for the better. trust me. living next to a tube seems to be the be all and end all to london newbies - i'm assuming you've only been down a year or two right? once you've put in a few grueling years commuting on the tube, it becomes less important.
