I'd also add that ketchup is the most over rated condiment going. Only time I have it is on a burger. Even with chips, I'd have mustard, Mayo or BBQ sauce ahead of the red stuff.
-
Not sure they qualify as condiments. They're essentials as oppose to optional extras. 1 mustard 2 brown sauce 3 chili sauce IMO

Got to agree with the mackem. It's a cringeworthy intrview.

Newcastle v Arsenal Sat 13th August Kick Off 5.30pm
Dr Gloom replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
please please please stop. you are becoming a caricature of yourself -
Deano, you're even more deluded than I thought if you seriously think we will sign either of them. My opinion is based on ashley's holocaust of a history in recent transfer windows. What do you base your mindlessly optimistic assumptions on?
-
Yes he is the best LB we have had in a while but how can you say he's better than anyone we bring in, in the future? Madness. I think either Pieters or M'Bengue could be better. Possibly but we aren't signing either of those players so why make the comparison? Your posts are infuriating.

Combined wage bill....... what do you reckon it is now?
Dr Gloom replied to accadacca's topic in Newcastle Forum
I'm guessing our combined wage bill now is about ten bob and a packet of regal king size -
No doubt. Good lefties don't grow on trees. He had a good understanding with jonas and most of our best play came down that flank. He was also very sound defensively. He will be a massive loss and I'm positive whoever replaces him will be a poorer player.
-
Deano, what on earth makes you think we'll get any of those players in to replace him? Far more likely to get a shefki kuqi type panic buy after the window has shut. This is mike Ashley remember.
-
Disagree, he doesn't want to sell. He wants Newcastle United to use as a huge, free, billboard for his tat business and that has been his intention all along. if that were the case you'd think he'd put more effort into keeping us in the top flight so his ads at sjp get more tv exposure. i'm convinced he'd sell up if he got the offer he wants. all this taking the club off and off the market is a smokscreen - he'd sell for the right price.
-
yup, decent read. his intentions, sadly, are obvious. he wants to sell. he didn't do due diligence and paid way over the odds for us. but as long as no one is prepared to pay him the money he wants, he'll continue to try and get as much money back from his investment as possible. that means selling on senior players for profits, getting high earners off the wage bill and buying in mostly cheap, unproven players. like everything he does, it's a gamble. the best he can hope for is premier league consolidation but no real progression. the worst case scenario is relegation for a second time under his ownership. annoyingly for supporters, it's a gamble he seems prepared to take. the best we can hope for is a second takeover, but this time from some proper billionaires with a bit of ambition.

Trott could open, no worries.
-
Yeah. I'll be glad when its all over on Saturday when perch or jonas is getting raped at left back by the gooners.
-
I thnk Liverpool have a good chance of finishing top 4 this year. Ambitious owners, some quality, if expensive, signings. Some say the manager is a dinosaur but time will tell. They'll definitely be in the mix at the top and i don't blame enrique for wanting to move onto an ambitious club - something we cleary aren't anymore.

Yeah it must be just about the strongest batting line-up England have ever had. Plus they're all good fielders too. And like you say you have Tremlett to come back in at some stage (can't drop Bresnan at present as you've mentioned but I think Tremlett is the better bowler all in all) and you have Finn too. The only worry would be Swann getting injured. I happen to think Bopara has a chance of becoming a regular too as he has the talent and can bowl a bit. Plus there's onions and shazad also waiting in the wings that could come in and do a job. Got to feel a bit for Finn and tremlett. Neither's done owt wrong but both might have a tough time getting back the side now. Could be all over tomorrow. Gutted as I'm supposed to be up on Saturday. Would be nice to see indias batters put up more of a fight than their bowlers. Go down fighting and at least try to make a contest of it.
-
So we finally sell him, two days before the first game of the new season with no time to bring in a replacement. Inspired. Fat twat
-
I like the fact that all of the tail can bat. There's only Jimmy Anderson that's got an average below 20 and even he can hang around for a bit. Plus there's strength in depth that we didn't used to have, particularly with the bowling. Tremlett looked undropable after the tour of Australia but you can't leave Bresnan out too. You basically have three bowling all rounders now with Bresnan, broad and swann.
-
Anyone watched flash forward or in treatment? Either worth a shout? I need some new series to get into
-
I can't see India coming back from this. England's bowlers are too good in home conditions. I'm going on Saturday. Hope the match is still going!
-
Even if we don't sign a striker, I doubt he'll ask for the shirt.

Did anyone see that girl in the brum riots being asked why it was kicking off. It's because you lot don't respect us, she said. It's that kind of cretin that makes up the majority of the looters.
-
The rioters and looters this time aren't a repressed working class though. They're a lazy, opportunist, scumbag and greedy underclass that feel entitled to a free lunch even though they've never worked a day in their lives. The type you see more and more of in London that don't give a shit about society, you know - the sort that think it's perfectly socially acceptable to play music their mobile phones on a crowded commuter train. I've no sympathy for them whatsoever.
-
In the middle east the youth rise up for basic freedom. In London they rise up for free 42" HD ready plasma tvs.
-
Like a new signing. I don't mind him staying. Decent squad player, always has been. He's never been good enough to be first choice though, still isn't. We still need a first choice striker.
-
That'll calm down the situation triggered by police violence The riots going down in my back yard last night had fuck to do with that. These are opportunist but dimwitted thieves. There is no protest going on here at all. There were coppers stood about in riot gear doing fuck all. Fight force with force and the looters, who to be fair were mainly juveniles, would soon fuck off. Shame the heavens didnt open on the scum.
