Anyone? I've never really got it. Said it in front of a girl mate of mine recently and she was so offended. Got into a massive argument with her about it. I claimed it was no more offensive than cock or prick, she disagreed to the point our craic has never been the same since. I made the mistake of using the word once infront of an American lass once - don't even go there, trust. Honestly, what's up with the way some people view this word? If you take it literally, it really isn't more offensive than prick. I find pricks way more offensive than cunts tbh.

I agree to a point CT. Problem is more than half the "news" broken on twitter regarding transfers is bullshit. The law of averages means some of it will be accurate but most will be fluff. Bit like the transfer speculation reported by tabloids for years really. Only difference being the numpties on twitter aren't getting paid.

is j69 that arrogant? i don't see it. leazesmag is by far the most arrogant poster on here i've seen but he seems to get nowhere near as much stick as j69. but then that kind of arrogance is usually a sign of neurotic insecurity, which is what i put it down to.

i could murder a spontaneous all night bender. the kind which begins inconspicuously in a local boozer but results in watching the sun come up on hampsted heath over a bottle of whisky and a smoke after having been raving all night at fabric or the end. i miss those days. these days anything approaching that kind of night would take months of meticulous planning and preperation.

If you need drink and drugs to enjoy yourself I imagine you aren't all that fun yourself. Is it really that much of an alien concept to people to go out and have fun without being off your rocker? of course it's possible to go out and enjoy yourself sobre. it's also possible to go out and enjoyself under the influence of whatever your poison happens to be, and do no harm to yourself or anyone around you. the minority that fuck themselves or others up are morons. the majority of people that take drugs aren't addicts. just as the majority of people that drink aren't alcoholics. i've smoked and been around people that smoked since i was 13. yet to see anyobdy have any sort of mental ilness because of it. each to their own like. but a holier than though line is kind of annoying.

Got to agree. Some of the chat on the football forum is mind numbing. The usual suspects having the same argument in every single thread doesn't help matters. Might be time for a second breakaway forum. But if you are going to break away from the usual suspects, wont your new forum, without the usual suspects, be pretty quiet? No Leazes, No Happy Face, No Chez, No NJS, No Deano etc etc? I just never understand why people bitch about the state of the forum but do nothing about improving it. Whatever sparkling threads you are going to start on a breakaway forum, surely you could start them here? Having just whizzed over the last 10 pages of football chat, thats 400 threads, I didnt see any, not one, started by you. Now dont get me wrong, this is not me having a pop at you, but if people want a more interesting forum, then surely they should put more in themselves.
