If we finish 9th, hughton will be a contender for manager of the season

Why did i waste 15 sheets on that? I bought into the hype too. Half thought audley might at least show up and throw a punch or two. Shame on haye. All that bullshit about falling out. It was all about selling the fight. Haye basically did his old mate a favour sorting him a nice pension pot. I can't believe so many of bought into it. Haye needs to line up a klitschko quick sharp. Take a smaller share of the pot to make it happen or he's at risk of becoming a joke
-
Two big fights today. Both the wrong ones. Boxing is so annoying like that. Blatantly should be haye v klitschko and pac man v pretty boy. That would be a double bill worth staying up for. I'll probably still watch haye v Harrison even though audley's a joke

Sadly. The extra bunce from the boxes on match day would probably be the main motivation for doing it.... If it ever did happen which tbc is looking unlikely. The only way I can see the idea even floated again is if we reassert ourselves as a top 4 or 5 side under an ambitious new owner. Neither looks like happening any time soon.

we've had so many threads on this subject down the years. i always thought it was a shame that end wasn't extended at the same time the leazes and milburn level 7s were added. not much need at the moment. attendences unlikely to pick up unless we go on some kind of amazing run and we couldn't finance it anyway unless someone bought out ashley. so for now, it's justa pipe dream. good work opn the photoshop mind!

i'd be gutted if we went to spurs or villa. yeah, i think man city might be the most likely too. it would be hard t turn down 200k a week or whatever silly money they're offering these days.
-
well if it was one of the top clubs like man u or chelsea, or if man city came in offering him silly money you'd have to say fair play to him if ashley was happy to sell up, though it would be a blow given he's so young and a local lad. you'd think he'd give us a few years before buggering off to a club with more ambition and cash, i'd be disappointed if we went to one of the rest. for all ashley's efforts (or lack of), we're in about as good a position as the bulk of sides in the premier league. there's not much between the bottom 13 or 14 clubs really.

i've got a bad feeling about this one. just liek blackburn, we ought to be winning these games at home, so a loss would be very much in keeping with our rollercoaster season so far. would be awesome if you could bounce back and consolidate our top half position. 20 odd points at christmas would be a job well done
-
i can't see him moving. although i didn't think rooney would leave his home town club at such a young age so you never know. would one of the big 3 clubs come in for him though? i can't see him going to a spurs or a liverpool.

This is the really annoying thing, Ben Arfa is the difference, he's the guy with a bit of magic in games when we're off form and the other team keeps it tight, its what Hughton knew he'd bring and we've been robbed of it by a thug like De Jong. I do think though that Hughton should have brough Routledge on for about 20-25 mins, i know he's been pretty bad this season, but his pace on the right would at least have given another possible option as Blackburn knew we were relying on the left to heavilly last night. yeah i agree with that. if only we hadn't been robbed of ben arfa. mind, only getting one creative player in during the summer was always going to be a gamble and it didn't pay off as he's crocked for the season. we should have been in for a striker too that could have offered a different option to what we have. against the sides that shut up shop, we need a player with more pace than shola to play alongside carroll. we've no one really at the moment that can stretch defences and get around the back of those that are sitting deep and defending in numbers.
-
it's obvious he's going to get a ban like. you can't punch people in the ribs during a match in front of all those cameras and expect to get away with it. shame really as barton has been in good form this season and we haven't seen that side to his game for a while.

get him to the greek. absolute crap, next to no laughs. i found puff daddy's character particularly annoying - 2/10 -
we're still in 5th. that's a hell of a lot better than most of us thought we'd be doing. if only we had a better home record. mid table finish would be a great first season back on we're still on track for at least that but luck will play a massive part in where we do finish. we've takena big gamble with the size of the squad and we were always going to rely on luck with injuries. we're desperately thin up front and in the creative midfield area. we're were unlucky with ben arfa. let's hope to fuck we don't lose carroll too.
-
Apart ofcourse for the magnificently weighted free kick for the goal can't remember anything else of note he did other than that. same goes for nolan, shola jonas and tiote too. too many of them didn't turn up yesterday.
-
not sure barton will move inside next to nolan. those two could get over run in midfield. we could see the return of smudger smith or revert to 4-5-1. i hope fwiw that we stick with the current formation.
-
it's all about how we bounce back back against fulham now. we got caught chasing the game against a shite blackburn team and conceded a shite route one goal. chris was right to tell the players to try for the win. we're better than blackburn and should be beating them at home. just a shame we were missed an opportunity in the first half because the way we had to go at them second half was always going to leave us exposed at the back.
-
he was crap last night like. back to the old barton
-
what a shit shit goal to concede
-
FOR FUCK SAKE. GASH DEFENDING
-
fucking shit delivery from a great position there from barton
