You're welcome

I went to the zoo yesterday and saw a baguette in a cage. The zoo keeper told me it was bread in captivity...

I'll do my best. I suspect he browses from time to time like..

Too busy taking over the world, one 5-a-side footy pitch at a time. Whenever he's up north I get him very drunk and make him post on here, but he generally just suggests he's at my house watching my porn collection (which doesn't exist!) He's alive, well, and remains the funniest poster on here, despite not posting

Not a holiday, but I do have a little mini-break to The Land of The Mancs next month and a hot date to the theatre (dahhhling) with a local fella who remains as mental as ever.

Bet you don't get the ham and pease pudding ones over there though

Whenever we go and stay with my auntie and uncle in Spain we have to purchase Greggs sausage rolls from the airport and take them over. You can take the people out of South Shields....

Love that show. The first episode in New York with Katherine Ryan was brilliant.

When they say 'vinyl records' I'm guessing that Vanilla Ice: To The Extreme and Five Star: Silk & Steel don't count? Or do they? And surely everyone has coasters??
-
That's brilliant

trooper - keep a record of any altercations that occur between your son and this kid. Dates, times, locations and details; whether it be verbal, physical or via text/social media. If your son is marked/bruised/cut in any way then take photos. If you have recorded evidence of a continuing harassment then the police/school HAVE to act and it's far more likely that you'll get a permanent resolution. Obviously it's tempting to go down the retaliation route, but then he puts himself at risk and the arsehole who is actually responsible will end up the winner overall. Good luck with it all.

It must have been genuinely confusing and a bit terrifying.

I had a patient just waking up out of anaesthetic at the peak of the storm - fuck knows what they thought was happening! Some of you are aware of my little phobia and I had to smile nicely and be all reassuring whilst quietly shitting myself at the same time.

@@Gemmill Baptism of fire for my new headphones at work last night when the storm hit about 3am. Sound quality is class and I'm over the moon with them. Thanks again.

Just remembered with 49mins to go that it's Al's birthday. Hope you've had a lush day petal Then I remembered that I did this thread last year and HMHM went in a huff as it had been his birthday on the 8th (same as manc-mag) and no-one had made him a thread. Well Davey, I forgot again Hope you had a good one

They look ideal actually - thanks very much. Couldn't bear the thought of having to start researching from scratch. You lot are a canny bunch

I'm looking at around £40-50 max and they need to have an in-line remote. They look good ewerk, I just can't justify spending £100 on a pair
-
Can anyone point me towards the thread/pages where decent quality in-ear headphones were discussed and recommended? My second pair in 6 months have broken overnight and I'm pissed off. Cheers

If you were using that citation in your degree paper you'd get significantly marked down for using an outdated source. Fail. I'm off to bed - I've got commodes to wash later.
-
I'll just leave this here. Approx 80% of the nurses in my department have one.
-
What the fuck are you lot searching on YouTube?!

I have only two words in reply to this post, based on a 10-hr operation we did only a couple of months ago and concluded in a transfer to intensive care. Jam jar.

Yes, bed baths are still a thing, mainly carried out by health care assistants as the nurses are generally doing hard sums trying to work out how much of a drug might kill their patient instead of making them better. I don't do many bed baths in theatre tbh. Unless you shit yourself under anaesthetic Oh, and just to educate CT a little further: In order to re-register as a nurse (which until April just gone we had to do every year, it's now every 3yrs) you have to provide evidence that you have undertaken a mandatory amount of study in order to fulfill your CPD requirements. It can be in-house courses or post-graduate modules at Uni. I currently have post-grad modules in Anaesthetics, Post-Op Recovery, Law & Ethics, Mentorship & Education and Clinical Research. However I'm also really good at smiling nicely, patting your hand and trotting around with a little nursey dress on and a frilly hat, but only on my nights off

To work as a nurse, you need a degree in nursing and you must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). You won’t usually pay university fees, as most nurses' education is funded by the NHS. You’ll also need to choose which of the four nursing specialisms (adult, children, mental health, or learning disability) you’d like to study. Nursing requires a high level of technical competence and clinical decision-making skills. To develop these, you'll spend half of your nursing degree on supervised placements in local hospital and community settings. https://www.rcn.org.uk/professional-development/become-a-nurse It has been mandatory for any newly-registered nurse to have a degree since 2013, and those who previously held the RN Dip(HE) had/have to undertake further study to obtain one. It was announced in 2009 that this would be the case. We don't carry lanterns and mop brows these days, nor is seen by anyone with half a brain as an option for those who aren't that academic. Your statement above shows a breathtaking amount of ignorance.

You all need a child like mine. It's like travelling with a far more sensible grown-up than I'll ever be.
