Okay, I'll be good and do it Weds lunchtime. That'll give it plenty time to set once I've "whisked the fuck out of it"

Hmm, not sure I trust you It just means I'd have to make it before Weds nightshift or once I got home Thurs morn. I'm inherently lazy when I get home and just like to mong around with a brew before bed.

If I make that key lime pie tomorrow will it last in the fridge til Thursday nightshift without going off?

That sounds delish. Add Baileys or Brandy for a warming kick
  5. We've watched The Grinch every day for the last 2 weeks. Elf It's a Wonderful Life

    Pet Hates!

Did you smash it? We smashed the tiles off at the tap end and luckily there was a removable hatch. It's fixed now but it's a mess. Half the floor tiles are up and I might use it an excuse to get a whole new bathroom in the new year.
  7. If anyone fancies a festive weep then Noels Christmas Presents is on Sky1 tonight at 6pm
  8. Taylor Momsen. From Cindy-Lou Who in The Grinch to stroppy 18 year-old actress and grunge singer,
  9. No, he HAS done something wrong, and I'm sure he feels like shit about it. I'm not sure whether in the sober light of day he'll even want that post to stay on here. Check your PM's MF.

Happy birthday Bev. Have a lovely day x
  11. On the way to work in the pissing rain and working with an idiot when I get there. I'm full of festive cheer.
  12. Ria turns on the Christmas lights in Stalybridge!
  13. How've you managed to swing that? You got new year on call?
  14. Aren't we cernts I can think of a more appropriate word!! I just have trouble typing it I'm a bit hacked off actually. There's a lovely big, decorated fir tree in the middle of our village and tonight there's Christmas carols round the tree with a brass band, then coffee and mince pies in the village hall. I'm obviously getting old cos I'd have loved to go but I'm working. I could just see myself there with a furry muff (behave!) and a lantern on a stick being all Dickensian..
  15. Went there for the first time a couple of months ago for a wedding and it was very pretty.
  16. All you feckers with 2 weeks off can ferk right off!
  17. I'll be at work or looking after a stubborn nearly-3-year-old.
  18. Guilty pleasures, my lovely - we all have them
  19. Big Fat Gypsy Christmas is on at 9pm. Bring it on
  20. Just found out they have £2000 to bank again so really there's only £2000 to go! That's unbelievable compared to the mountain we had to climb when we first had the news about the surgery. 2012 will be truly life-changing for Ria and her gorgeous family.
  21. Make the most of it. Even if that just means enjoying doing nothing. Before you know it, you'll be restricted to 4 or 5 weeks like this a year for the next 50 years, and you'll wonder how you could ever have been bored by having time to yourself. Old man lecture over. It's rare, but on this occasion Gemmill is correct. I'm in an 'organised' mood. Christmas shopping finished. All of it wrapped tonight except for the stuff that hasn't arrived yet. Cards going out in the post tomorrow. Don't really need to organise Christmas food as we'll be at my mam's and then I'll be at work for 3 nights so him and the Fraggle will have to fend for themselves Never ever been this organised and it's a little bit disconcerting...
  22. £46,186.76 We're nearly there guys..
  23. I really want to reply but I truly have no words...
