There's a lovely big, decorated fir tree in the middle of our village and tonight there's Christmas carols round the tree with a brass band, then coffee and mince pies in the village hall. I'm obviously getting old cos I'd have loved to go but I'm working. I could just see myself there with a furry muff (behave!) and a lantern on a stick being all Dickensian..

Just found out they have £2000 to bank again so really there's only £2000 to go! That's unbelievable compared to the mountain we had to climb when we first had the news about the surgery. 2012 will be truly life-changing for Ria and her gorgeous family.

Don't really need to organise Christmas food as we'll be at my mam's and then I'll be at work for 3 nights so him and the Fraggle will have to fend for themselves Never ever been this organised and it's a little bit disconcerting...
