  1. Different culture mate. While the Japanese are currently facing hell on earth, here in Australia a 101 year old lady has her watch and shopping money stolen by a pair of middle aged men who obviously preyed on her and waited for an opportune time to nail her. A 95 year old blind woman gets bashed and robbed and an 80 year old bloke coming home from watching the movies gets pummeled and is left lying on the middle of the road. On the weekend a few coppers get blood spat in their face for trying to break up a fight. I've always said Australia and particularly America are our naughty kids who have turned in to right wronguns. unfortunately, import all the bad 'uns and you go the same way, like the UK is doing. etc etc ad infinitum obvious even to a blind man. I was down in London this week and practically anybody who serves you in food jobs etc or any low paid service industry is an EC (former Eastern bloc) or third country worker. The overwhelming majority are here grafting. To call them all 'bad uns' is laughable and based on nowt more than the Daily Mail's fabrication of the truth. A smart lad like you should get yourself out there and see it for yourself rather than being spoon fed what to think by the media. There are some 'bad uns' but broadly speaking as a percentage base they'll mirror UK indigenous 'bad uns'. Any non-British national (individually) in breach of the law should be considered for deportation. That's a perfectly fair and proportionate position to take and I don't think anyone would disagree, but your starting point generalisation (above) is just racism at the end of the day whichever way you dress it up. hoho. I don't read the Daily Mail, as you stalk me so much you should have read me posting this many times. I've seen enough of the world sonny, thank you. Save your namby pamby liberalism for someone else. At the end of the day, screaming "racist" at people who can see the direction the country is going and are concerned about it, is the act of a laughable leftie tosspot who sits in an ivory tower, brainwashed and a blind fool. I don't know where you think you are a smart lad, because for me you're just a complete idiot with an ego problem who can't even admit when they are wrong. Fat bastards like me live out of Subways, Burger King's and Costa Coffee's when I'm away working in London. Like mancmag says you go in these shops in London and they're running round like they're on speed, the noise is incredible. The nearest Subway to my work. 7 people in a line, one fucking about doing fuck all looking like a manager, one cutting the bread, one putting the meat on, one putting your salad on, one putting the mayonaise on, one beside the oven, two at the till, one of them fucking about with the water and crisps. All in a line like battery hens. Was the same people every day, two Indians I'd guess, two Somali's maybe, two Poles one of them fit as fuck, and maybe a Turk, and all of them were like battery hens grafting like fuck. That type of immigrant is what we need, grafting like fuck for £7 an hour doing jobs clearly white people don't want to do in the City, you can't slag them or fault them for that, and generalise that they're all cunts. and the type of immigrant we don't want is what Stevie ? At the end of the day, the daft arsehole says I haven't been anywhere, but I bet I've seen a lot more of the world than he has. He simply can't admit when he says something wrong, which is why he clings to me in the way he does. Laughable and pathetic. Anyway, I'm trying to stick to what I said to trophyshy so don't want to go OTT about this just now. Not being funny here, but how is this me with the ego problem exactly?

Aye, forgot to add that the Polish females are often ridiculously fit, too.
  3. Because the Japanese aren't as poor as the blacks in New Orleans - look up the correlation between crime and poverty. Why are there high crime rates in the North East when there are virtually no blacks? Were there not many blacks in the Meadow Well riots then ya reckon? Surely it was swarming with em man! Jesus wept, Leazes.

Was wondering how many you'd be able to squeeze in. PS your opinion of me is i) irrelevant to the debate, and ii) irrelevant to me, so you need to abandon that one as it doesn't advance your argument. why don't you answer the first post in the debate then, instead of stalking me....it kills you to be shown you are talking bollocks doesn't it, which is why you do it. See the sentence in wacky's post "why aren't the japanese looting and killing each other like the blacks were when hurricane katrina hit?" This is the truth, and you know it, but can't admit it because you label it as "racist" don't you ? Pathetic. Eh? What's that got to do with me pulling you up on something you said about immigration to the UK? I haven't got a fucking clue how Hurricane Katrina is linked to that statement and I don't know why you would expect me to make the link. Are you for real in asking that btw? It's just another daft distraction technique of yours that you employ tbh. "Don't quote what I've said, answer the thread title' etc etc." Stop being a child telling people what to answer man, I posted directly in response to your assertion about UK immigration, showed it to be a false statement and I literally have no idea what hurricane Katrina has to do with that. Explain how it does if you like, obviously.
  5. I felt that I was being generous when I said it was probable there was parity. In fact I would be amazed if they weren't lower tbh.

  10. Heard he was back in the Magistrates' court recently on drugs charges and sounds like the house search was along the same lines. In the words of 'Police Officer', whatever they were looking for I'm sure his hiding place was superior. Sad to watch that video back now tbh.
  11. did you just say a scout having a say in who the manager buys is bullshit Cheers that has really made this a good monday! On a more serious note, if a scout doesn't understand our team tactics, and the manger does not discuss tactics with the scout, how can he go out and find the right players to meet the criteria. On the other side of things, scouts do not have the sole job of player recruitment, they are sent to view up and coming opposition, to advise on oppostion tactics and therefore who they think may counteract the threats of the opposition. It is ultimately the managers decision but its not like a manager goes to one game in advance and then knows exactly what he is going to do. Opposition are scouted for weeks in advance to give the manager the best opportunity of picking a team that will come out of it with a decent result. Managers rely heavily on scouts, much more heavily than on coaches at the club, they are responsible for providing the manager with enough, solid information with which he can do a good job. So a scout comes back to Fergie/Wenger/Ancelotti and says this kid looks good. The manager then goes along to a couple of games himself to see what he thinks. If he's not impressed he doesn't buy him. Did you go to the Dennis Wise school of scouting!? 'Here Kev, look at this youtube vid, he's yours whether you want him or not!' Scouts suggest players to the manager, it's up to him if he wants to buy them. I think you are seriously overestimating the input scouts have into a club. Most of them have very informal arrangements with a club anyway! I think the dynamics begin to change slightly when your main recruitment policy is acquisitions via your scouting network rather than going after established/big money transfers mind. For instance in Pardew's situation he might be told it's one of Graham's shortlist or nowt. And I can actually see that being the case.

A girl drinking Brown Ale? Not liking that image one bit. Do you smoke a pipe too? Our lasses sister drinks it too. Think she thought I'd be impressed about it. Quickly set her right on that one. You've got to take a firm hand, Craig.

  15. Re: that Harry Taylor sentencing, it would've been more useful to know what his sentence was the first time around I suppose. Of the little information there it's obvious that it's a second offence (for the same thing). Also in ref the second offence, it was a continuous act (3 occasions), which is a further aggravating factor. This is where it all gets a bit daft tbh. I'm not that arsed either way so haven't even read anything about the case (the fact Leazes was the author of the thread being the main reason for that I confess), but it might be that this muslim dickhead had never done anything wrong before in his life. By contrast this Harry Taylor might be a career bell end for all I know. It does at least go to prove the point about having proper sentencing tariffs and guidelines rather than the system Leazes was (only half) jokingly proposing however. On the more general point though (best summed up by Chez @ post #31), yes I think there is an imbalance between the way religious and cultural sensitivity is handled in law which is hard to justify. This then seems even more incongruous when you consider that most of the drivers for legal censure are probably cultural rather than purely religious. For instance lots of things which might outrage one muslim wouldn't necessarily outrage the next and therefore it can't really be said to be Islam or Christianity (or whichever) that is offended, but some cultural group who associate themselves with the religion. It'd be different where the Vatican or Mecca was banging out edicts criticising UK domestic law directly obviously, but that doesn't seem to happen very often. *PS KSA, I realise in citing that Harry Taylor example you were only making a limited point directly in response to Happy Face, I wasn't trying to take apart your broader position on the matter.
  16. the punishment should fit the crime and his fate should be decided by the relatives of everybody who has lost a son in Afghanistan and Iraq, having been invited to burn a poppy in front of them before they cast judgement. The punishment does fit the crime. He burned some poppies, to which I attach no sacred value, and was subsequently fined. He was basically being a complete prat in public and looking for a rise, not behaviour befitting the death penalty imo. What you're proposing has chimes of Shariah Law to it, not my cup of tea Leazes. I realise that universal freedom of speech is not a popular idea in GB, but it's one I believe in, and I think wherever it were to be put into practice it would be a force for good. I think it's been said before like that Leazes would've made a pretty good extremist Muslim if he'd been born by the Indus rather than the Tyne.
  17. I'd pass to no fucker if I was playing on SJP and neebody'd be getting the ball off me either so you'd all want £67 refunds.
  18. the punishment should fit the crime and his fate should be decided by the relatives of everybody who has lost a son in Afghanistan and Iraq, having been invited to burn a poppy in front of them before they cast judgement. I think we might get some wildly inconsistent sentences with the system you're proposing if it were to be rolled out across the Criminal Justice System. What should be the maximum penalty available in your view btw?
  19. you should have texted me Bev, I missed you 'Tut' .....and to think I got all dressed up for nothing for me ? Don't say that, mate. You're not a complete nothing!
  20. McNamee came from Celtic I think. He started at Celtic and went to Hibs where we got him from in 1966.....Ferguson was playing for St Johnstone and Dunfermline around then so he very likely did play against each other....whether either were scared of each other I think it would be difficult to say.... Alex Ferguson, in his book, says that McNamee was built like a man-mountain and after one scuffle/disagreement they had, he sneaked out of the ground because he thought McNamee was waiting for him. This is when he played for Rangers, or Dunfermline as PaddockLad says, I think McNamee was playing for Hibs at that time. Anyway, this is the book, which is very good, one of the best. he mentions him here http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/foo...icle5026752.ece Good read that Leazes....and I read the fergie book yonks ago, but can't remember much about it, maybe time for a another look at it. The best book I've read about football, actually one of the best books I've ever read is this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Father-Other-Worki...s/dp/0224072676 Gary Imlach used to do the American Football on Ch4. It's like a tribute to his old man, who played for Forest when they won the cup in 59 and for Scotland at the world cup in 58. Think it won the "best sports book award" a few years back. Yeah, in 2005 iirc.
