Divvent say that man Skol. We've already signed SWP in my head ffs.
-
His main virtue has already been stated elsewhere in this thread if you ask me. He stretches a game when he runs with it and can take the pressure off when others are tiring. That is a substitutes role at best though. Technically he's very good imo. When he was at his peak 5 years ago, it seemed every week he'd score a GOTS contender. Get him in. SWP? I was talking about Routledge. SWP scored loads of class goals. He was a greedy little bastard like and missed a lot too he'd shoot on sight as soon as he cut in like Jamie Redknapp used to do (albeit from a central position). Redknapp's back catalogue of goals must be pretty impressive at the end of his career but for ever one he scored from range he ballooned about a dozen. I think SWP would probably play the game a bit more in his mind now. No bad thing either.

He's a little dick head at the end of the day. I like the way we go out on the pitch these days even when we are more limited than opponents. He's the reverse of that. The last thing you need is him in his colour coded R8 and Superman Recarro bucket seats turning the car park into a fucking Supermarket burn out splashed across the back pages of Max Power.

He's 30 in a few months. Getting rid of Routledge is just stupid. He might not offer much end product but at least he stretches defenders. Good to have as a sub when they're tiring. And furthermore, how in the fuck does Alan Smith manage to stay on on his wages yet a player on (you'd assume) a lot less who at least offers something gets moved on? Absolute joke. Precisely because he's on those wages and is fucking useless.
-
I'm not knocking his attitude at all, he seems honest enough. Usually always beats the first man (for pace-essentally just sprinting) then fails to do anything with it after that (essentially when he's called upon to play football). Not his fault.
-
As Alex says his wages must be absolutely sky high anyway. Don't know why there should be any querying that tbh.
-
I just think his heads right tbh listening to him. You can tell all the Chelsea stuff is behind him now (that mindset) and in many ways a lot of what's going on at Citeh now mirrors Chelsea of five years ago-huge signings every five minutes etc etc-and he's got no time for it, he just wants to be playing football matches and everything else is a distraction.
-
No, he can fuck off.

This better be covered by a direct replacement coming in and you have to assume it is even if it's just loan. That being the case I'd be v happy if it did turn out to be SWP. He actually wants away too-whenever you hear him on the North West news, he's painfully careful not to alienate himself from the Citeh fans but at the same time always telegraphs that his priority is first team football and ultimately he'd go elsewhere to get that. He's genuinely after matches and I like that. Routledge is just a sprinter at the end of the day. Never a footballer in a month of Sundays. If this came off with SWP coming in it'd be quite a significant strengthening iyam.

Where the fuck was Phoenix Jones? -
Is that Pud's duvet?

Yeah it would have been prudent to have phrased the question "How many other club sites have you been banned from?" to make the point you were getting at CT
-
Wonder how much less money he'll be on this time around. Genuinely curious actually. Returning but coming back to a very different club.

They've also been helped out by the fact that Liverpool are currently shit so they're automatically another place higher [cynic/] As are we

Could Harper prevent the police from pursuing it? No, two separate matters. The 'assault' would most likely need a complaint from Harper, so if he chose not to pursue that then that'd probably be an end to it, but encroaching on the pitch is a strict liability offence. Not so for rugby pitches (or even non-league football pitches funnily enough), but it is in the professional league.
-
South African international. One of the biggest zero barometres there is tbh.
-
It's an offence to set foot on a league pitch quite apart from the 'attack' on Harper. They'll probably still want him banned on that score even if Harper doesn't press charges.

Didn't Souness, of all people, take us on a 7 game unbeaten run when he first came in? Aye but some of them were against economic refugee teams from Eastern Bloc countries and that Bnei Sakhnin. Aye, and 7 isn't 8 either. Anyway 5/2 I'll take some of those odds. If it comes off it'll cover the train fare and if not then fuck it. In for a penny.

Not as good as the Charlie Sheen one tbh.

Stevie man, you've got us down for nee losses in 8 games. We can't have managed that in the top flight for half a decade! Spurs are better than us but I think we can do them if we want it more. Give them some stick and put Bale in the stand with his first run. Like you say, it's SJP-no point in throwing in the towel with these bastards it's all to play for. SBR had us unbeaten in 12 one time IIRC. The away games are all winnable. I'm going for a confident 3-1 home win, just like the last 3 times we've played them here. They're all winnable but we wont win them all, realistically cos we aren't that consistent. I'm fucking gagging for us to beat Spurs tho and I think we can.

We can beat Spurs next week. They're miles better than us but we can do them at home.
