Just joshing with you T-Keith. -
Both showcasing their limitations behind an actually relatively decent back four sadly.

Glad to hear that. Good holding statement in the circumstances Tom. I thought it showed inherent class, moral upstanding and no shortage of dignity. -
Cowardly little morally upstanding inherently decent bastard.

Webb can fuck off now since the World Cup tbh. He's too used to hearing about how much everyone rates him and how marvellous it was to have England represented in the World Cup final. Jesus Wept FFS He needs to start having his shortcomings highlighted more so he can have a look at his game.

Fuck's sake. Still if you don't take your chances when they're presented you're always vulnerable to conceding one even if the opposition are largely shit. As today. Derby rhetoric aside, 2 points dropped in the larger context of beating teams we should evidently beat.

Chorley? Hard lines.

No airport for his chopper mind. Helipad on top of Joplings?

Don't listen to this fucking wanksplash mate, I actually live in Trafford. What part of Manchester have you moved to like? Its actually Salford but it might as well be fucking Manchester as Deansgate is bout 1min walk from my flat. Can see the wheel and the Cathedral from the window (just to give you an idea where I mean). Oh aye, I know where you mean, up near the CIS-it's only Salford cos it's the wrong side of the river but it's slap bang in the city centre to all intents and purposes. There's loads of places in the town centre to watch the footy but I don't watch toon games there out of choice tbh cos theres always an element that drink in the city centre that want to test. Lass O'Gowrie might be a shout mind you as it's a bit more studenty (and a decent pint). Once you're in the suburbs like most pubs have a decent handful of toon fans in wherever. I'd only recommend South Manchester though tbh as North and East Manchester are both shitholes and Salford (West) is just Salford. So a shithole and red. Oh the days of the northwestmags and the Sports Cafe Happy days! Gone now that place like. And that did kick off a couple of times for non Manchester games which is what I was on about before. Did a nice bin bag size bowl of nachos all the same.

It was a watering hole for lots of seamen. Wonder if it's still there. http://www.flickr.com/photos/salfordandman...ter/2413723914/ I remember it still being open in my time but dunno if it's still there to this day.

If you've ever seen Renton's eyes it's pretty obvious he's got something to hide, like.

Surely more likely to have been a hog's eye than a sheep's eye btw

the blue lagoon - pure manky greasy scran - if you enjoyed that fish & chips you must've been well hammered! Took ye lang enough. THE WORST chippy I've ever bought something from. Am a fish and chips man normally but a got sausage n chips this one time from there. It's nee wonder the life expectancy in parts of Glasgow (Carlton?) is about 36, I was like do a get chips wi that grease. Bites in to the sausage, a thought what the fucks that, something hard like a boiled egg, looks doon, a full fuckin sheeps eye. I thought sausage was put through blenders and all the rest of it, not the stuff the blue lagoon sell. Fuckin sheeps eye, luckily we were goin home that day so a didnt need to eat owt else there. Should've left it in and itd've seen you through the week tbh.

Post a pic of something NOT shit about Sunderland

Aye, couldn't be doing with them tbh. She's crossed a line. If the wrong side of the line was over the Scottish border, she's in Newcastle in my eyes, comfortably in the right place. Ian Botham's just setting off for Land's End rattling a charity bucket in mine. -
Nah tbh I always used to park up on that estate on the hill at the back of the brewery. Astonished every time I came back to the car only to find it in perfect nick. Looks like one of the roughest places on the planet-absolutely rough as toast, but never had any bother at all. Get the train more these days but next to the RVI is a safe bet I reckon.

If you can still remember it from '87 you'll be fine tbh, it's barely changed since then. The clubshop's moved from the edge of the carpark mind so there's an extra space there for your van.

You came second ffs. Nobody cares. That sort of goes to the point he's making tho tbf. We finished second and the country was wanking for us like mad. Living outside of Newcastle I witnessed it for myself. Were they? No, you got commended for the type of football you played which endearered you to the media. That's about it, runners up isn't an achievement of any note at all. Aye I agree completely, second is no achievement at all as far as honours are concerned. First is everything and second is absolutely nowhere. Which is why the attention we seemed to generate was so remarkable. Everton have won cups during that same time and tbh (no offence) genuinely nobody gave a shit or batted an eyelid. And that's not me having a go because obviously a relatively recent trophy is something you can quite properly laud over us-I'd give anything to win one tbh. But even when we don't it's much better to belong to this football club (and by that I mainly mean the fanbase and the identity of it all), than it is to say, Everton, Villa, Tottenham etc. In terms of tribalism it completely pisses it and that's basically all the commentators/pundits are on about when they pass comment on TV. You must take a distinct interest in Everton if you know how much people notice us. You go and ask any fans of any club who is bigger, Everton or Newcastle, and see what the answer is. Until media interest becomes a qualifying factor for how big a club is, Newcastle will never be big. I can understand why most of you are arrogant gobshites though, the media has got in your head. Personally i couldn't give a fuck who ''notices'' us. You can have all the back pages you want, i'd rather have the trophies and success thanks ''Why aye man we've got a good stadium thoooo'' Fuck off you deluded clowns Not really, no. And you're an Everton fan posting on a Newcastle board just to point out the obvious. What I wrote wasn't really an attack, but you couldn't help but read it that way, which says it all really. Massive chip on your shoulder tbh.

I think it's one of those scenarios where you like the antiquity of it but wouldn't want to watch football there every other week in all honesty-so while you mean well, it actually sounds more condescending than Stevie's output. I say the same thing about Craven Cottage for instance, but like fuck would I want it for a home ground. i like those old grounds. the ones with a bit of character i mean. you look at old dumps like vicarage road and selhurst park and yeah, i agree with you but i love going to grounds like goodison and villa park - highbury had the same feeling about the place. i even have a bit of a soft spot for craven cottage actually. agree i probably wouldn't be saying the same if i had a season ticket to one of those clubs and had to watch the match every week in some old shithole with restricted views, tiny concourses etc. i like the sense of history though. it will be a shame when they're all gone and the country's stadia are all sos lookalikes. there's little to no charachter int he new builds with one or two notable exceptions. No I'd agree that the loss of history is something to be mourned and that a lot of the new builds are tragically generic. Vicarage Road only has one old side now btw iirc?
