  1. Just on a general point about selling/re-investing I think theres a chain you probably never want to get into these days (unless you're bankrolled in which case it doesnt matter) which is the one wheres theres the massively obvious link between a big sale price and the price you then end up shelling out on a replacement. See Liverpool with Torres/Carroll. Not to say Carroll can't still come good as he's still only 22, but the point being they should never have paid half that fee. So if someone does come in for Tiote at £25 million I think it's automatic we won't end up spending a large amount of that to 'replace' him as that's the period where clubs are vulnerable to overpaying. Ashley's already set that precedent with Carroll-where he disassociates selling price with replacement cost and any club knows we're not going to spend what we've taken in. We couldn't anyway because anyone coming in for the replacement cost would be expecting bigger wages than the cap. Overall disassociating the two things is important as it will drive buying prices down whenever we're at the table, which is also important from the point of view of wages (looking at the overall model). That's not advocating that we shouldn't be replacing-I think most people know when the strategic need exists and when it's simply ignored in favour of recouping-but at the same time I think you have to just write off the idea of headline big money replacements in the aftermath of a sale simply on the basis of wages. Strengthening across several areas at less than eye watering fees would be an acceptable outcome for me if he went. Not something I'd be thrilled about on an emotional level, but if it did look like an overall strengthening then I could reconcile myself to it for the good of the team.
  2. Stevie has PM'd me as an alter ego, asking me questions about Stevie. I have no way of knowing whether he was blacked up at the time however so I make no allegations of that nature.
  3. Rooney can get to fuck anyway. It's alright doing it for Man U every week when you sit camped on the edge of the opposition box for 90 minutes and play playground football-different when you've got to drop off and fight for it against decent defenders because your midfield's not as world class as the decade old tabloid wankfest claims. Petulent fat scouse twat that he is.
  4. Aye, spot on. Can't think of one contentious word in amongst that, which makes it even more tragic that 70% of threads end up turning to the usual drivel because of one person's agenda.
  5. Beyond help. Take it to pm tbh for the good of the forum. Anyone wanting to PM with Leazes ad nauseum use this thread to say so and then take it from there.
  6. Aye, I know what you mean but these ones are pretty smart: http://size.co.uk/pr...exclusive/04760 Yeah I could go for those ones tbf, much nearer in style to the ones I've had in the past. Just seems odd that it's sold as a 'classics' range and yet you can never find the basic original designs anymore, just the tarted up versions.
  7. It's so big it's sheer weight is gradually dragging his face down towards his bollocks. In a year he will be forehead alone and as such we should cash in now.
  8. Potentially? I hope Hamann's isnt still growing like.
  9. I like Forest Hills but I can't condone either of those pairs tbh. You can't seem to get the basic design FH's anymore, they all seem to be embossed with various crap.
  10. Is this not a big white rectangle for anyone else? Can't see anything at all.
  11. I'm just getting an extreme close up of his teeth. Well not particularly close up I suppose.
  12. Didn't you once text me to say he had a massive cock btw? Not from the pub, I hasten to add. Aye. Just another reason to dislike the man tbh. I don't get in synch with him for bog visits anymore for the sake of my self-esteem.
  13. By the way, Hamann drinks in my local pub and wears white jeans and is still immensely easy to dislike.
  14. Hamann was the better technical footballer (he was a good footballer in his own right fwiw) but in simple terms, Tiote's game is more impactful than Hamann's was for us. Hamann was also immensely easy to dislike once he'd left, I'm not so sure that would apply if Cheick went though.
  15. Sloppy journalism from The Sun-The Mail would at least have blacked her up.
  16. Seems like a top bloke. Looks like an explosion in Primark.
