There's basically no way I can work from home due to the supply chain nature of our business and how closely I have to monitor aspects of it and the cleaners at our place are fucking useless so I'm going to have to take matters into my own hands and clean everything that is regularly used because I genuinely don't think anyone else will. I'll probably start walking to work as well, just to avoid public transport though it's pretty much unavoidable on the way back. My mother has quite a low immune system due to a lack of Vitamin D so I'm hoping that the supplements she takes are somehow strong enough to kickstart her into gear since there's no way she can work from home either. Saying that, she was laid up for about a week or so back in January so there's every chance she might have had it when we didn't know if it had arrived here yet. Still, it's saved me money on a Mother's Day meal.

I was pissing about the other day and somehow started playing the guitar line from Kanye's Gorgeous which I believe is somewhere in here. EDIT: 1m10s to be exact That kept me entertained for about 3 minutes because I'm a professional musician.

I was shocked at how much I liked Odyssey as well since I bounced off Origins really hard. Some genuinely funny writing in there too. Playing Doom Eternal too and it's still as enjoyable and visceral as ever but fuck me, there's a LOT going on that I can't remember Doom 2016 having. There's so many concurrent systems to keep track of in combat that I feel it's going to collapse under it's own weight at some point.

Filtering the situation through jokes and pisstaking is a much easier way to get a grip on how to personally move forward instead of over-the-top hand wringing. Sitting watching the news for 14 hours a day is a sure-fire way to spend the next couple of weeks depressed. Not looking at anyone in particular.

As a positive aside, this has helped me realise that my deep set anxieties and depressions are not based in day-to-day living but are actually steeped in great existential crises and the very nature of the unanswerable weighing down my every day thought process. I’ve spent sleepless nights worrying about untimely ends, the big questions and the weight and importance of the community of friends and family we surround ourselves with and when you see those things threatened, as they are now, it’s soothing to know that, even in my depths, when I can’t actually function for a racing mind, I’ve never attempted to deal with those difficult questions by panic buying shit tickets and tins of peas. These fucking idiots have made me feel a lot better about my specific brain issues and I thank them.

Oh no, your routine has went from going to the same three places to just the one, what a sacrifice. Boils my piss something rotten. Perfectly healthy people twisting on that they don't have to leave the house and go to work, they don't even have kids to look after. Most of them don't even have pets.
