  1. Brilliant result, excellent work from the lads and always good to do a proper job on that dick, Rodgers.
  2. Disregard. Rafa has them sussed and the players are working their bollocks off for the plan.
  3. Can't knock value like that, mind. Not on these Brexit shores.
  4. Yedlin dropped. At least Manquillo can trap a ball, thank fuck.
  5. Reckon we might get warmed up here since they're loaded with pace and we...aren't. If we can score in the first half, we might get something but I'm hardly confident with Lejeune out, clumsy midfielders and Yedlin defending like a cat chasing a laser pen, I think we'll properly struggle.
  6. All this chat makes me necking a bottle of that ALDI spiced rum last week seem like the act of an unrefined charver. Decent with a mixer, to be fair. Probably wouldn't drink it straight
  7. Keifer Sutherland is playing the Americana festival at The Sage Absolutely desperate
  8. Always makes me laugh to consider that Garth Crooks has been there for longer than anyone and still hasn’t graduated past Final Score and writing shite to fill space on the website.
  9. What you've just said describes every single nonce in prison btw.
  10. Aye, quite why we should be rational and level-headed about anything they do when they're incapable of doing it themselves is a weird one. Collapsing into the third tier was a disaster and the fact that their promotion hopes rest on a mammoth run of games in a month is another one. Luton lost their manager half way through the season and they're still beating everyone left, right and centre
  11. Does anyone know what time it’s going to turn up? Will it get here before Brexit?
  12. I can’t help it because you keep posting. Libbed.
  13. It absolutely is an argument against VAR as it exists solely to enforce granular pedantry (like the handball rule) to the detriment of the actual flow of the game.
  14. VAR getting booed to death in England is enough to warm the soul.
  15. Whatever injury he's had all season is obviously going to take some getting back from.
  16. Can’t find the pet peeve thread but people calling holidays “adventures” I’d love to know how heading to the same places every other fucker does, on the same tourist guides around New York, constitutes an adventure. It’s a holiday, grow up. and now over to @wykikitoon for his scheduled whinge.
  17. Aye, in an ideal world, Longstaff would continue to excel on his return but you probably have to be realistic and get two good central midfielders in. A more athletic Diame who can pinch and compete in the middle and another with a good range of passing and half a decent eye for goal would be canny. I’d also flog Shelvey and keep Ki, purely because the former would get you more cash and Ki has a better set piece in him.
  18. I'll have a listen, cheers. As a whole, he's generally alright in interviews/podcasts until he does his usual "offended" shtick.
  19. Fuck me, Yedlin. Can’t cross, can’t pass, can’t defend. Manquillo can’t be worse at this point.
  20. It’s more the furious wanking we’ll see in the press that I want to avoid. The ex-pros are overwhelmingly pro-Liverpool to begin with and they’ve won fuck all for years
  21. The battle of the teams who are half-decent when they can be arsed to turn up.
  22. Right, watched all of After Life to give it a fair bash rather than just blindly disliking Ricky Gervais and I did like it quite a bit. Easily the best thing he's done post-Extras and telling that he managed it without Merchant. You have the regular missteps where he's writing scenes in an attempt to shoehorn his stand-up routine/beliefs in there but on the whole, it's thoughtful, emotional and contains a surprisingly accurate portrayal of the grief cycle and how human interaction is shaped when two people are at different stages of it. It seems to take a very dismissive view of therapy which struck me as particularly mean-spirited but maybe there's a sub-section of lying, snake oil therapists operating outside of the health industry that I don't know about. Nevertheless, it has his most sympathetic cast of characters since The Office and earns all the pathos through incredibly strong characterisation alongside excellent pacing and strong performances. Now, having said all that, I also started watching This Time and I would slam into Partridge's co-host like that final Tetris piece nestling into a perfect game.
