I dislike witty Hollywood quips and EVERY fucker in that film had about one every other line. -

They've been doing it all along but nobody has realised until now. They operate on a level to to other films because other films care too much about the wrong stuff. Or maybe the right stuff but this basically sums it all up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHsgjNPm-Rc -

For me, it's just diminishing returns. The last one I really enjoyed was X-Men First Class and that's just because the X-Men are the actual best comic book team, for rightsies. Before that, it was probably Dark Knight. Avengers was alright but Whedon's writing style winds me up. -

I believe Jason Statham is the new villain in Fast and Furious 7 so hopefully that will usher in the new golden age of cinema. It's set AFTER Tokyo Drift too which means some major business will be going down. I can't wait. -
Digging back through the Calexico back catalogue. I've always liked them but get the sense they're forgotten about when people talk about the best albums of the 2000s. Could be wrong though

Don't learn guitar, CT because all the 80s bangers that you like are heavily based around synths so if you want to do a buskers slot by Christmas and wow the extended family with the 12" version of Culture Club classics, you want to stick with the keyboard or else they'll struggle to really lock into your latest embarrassing dad routine. -

I cannot relate to "man gets gifted ridiculous powers and tries to adapt to social norms" as that, my friend, is the home of the awkward and nerdish. I can relate to a working class man striving to repair the relationship with his newly wealthy middle class wife through exceptional circumstances. Who hasn't bent over backwards to regain the sweet touch of a tender woman? I know I, the beloved writer, and you, the dear reader, certainly have. Sometimes life throws obstacles in your path to true sexual contentment; often you have to work around long-distances, teething troubles as you first move in together and even our own personal insecurities and sometimes, you have to kill 15 German terrorists and blow up a skyscraper. Life is funny that way and Die Hard basically holds a mirror up to our romantic endeavours. -

You fucking WHAT? The original Die Hard trilogy is a bona-fide masterpiece that runs the gamut of all conceivable human emotion. -

Kinnear - Appointed Director of Football
Ayatollah Hermione replied to Sonatine's topic in Newcastle Forum
I think Ashley knows absolutely fuck all about football and has been taken in again by a fellow con man and probably thinks this will aid/combat Pardew's excuses. Unfortunately, we all know that Kinnear will probably end up talking his way into Pardew's job. At least Llambias seemed to be learning his way around things -
Jean Ralphio is the best character and that's a true FACTO.

Saw him in 2011 and his voice is shot but made up for it with good bluesy arrangements of his stuff and the band is excellent. A definite "jam" feel to it but not self-indulgent in the way Neil Young can be. He played something off each of his classic albums and peppered some stuff for the fans in too. I thought he was excellent but no idea what 2 years has done to his voice. The difference in seeing McCartney in 2010 to hearing him in 2012 was drastic.
