I walked into my current job and within about a fortnight, had to present a PowerPoint to the BM and my direct line manager was amazed when I made it so the bullet points came on the screen incrementally at the press of a button. And that’s my gaffer. To do that, you literally press one button. You’ll be more than fine, HMHM

I’m honestly fucking furious that we have to wait until December to play Man Utd at home. Until then, I have no doubt that the Dutch Pardew will have lucked his way into form, such is their way

Shite like that is a doddle, mate. Especially PowerPoint. Excel can be made more complicated but, as someone that has to fill out reports on the fucker, it’s more than likely you’ll just be filling in boxes on a template that someone else has laid out and it’ll do all the sums for you

To get away from the mackems, I’ve noticed a few “football writers” seem to expect Howe to come out and speak ill of the Saudi government and now hold it against him because he won’t indulge their complete fucking fantasy scenario. What I’m saying is, the mackems should “write” for Football 365

I think they’ll win a few at home against the poorer teams but they’ll do well to get anything away. Saying that, Brighton and then Chelsea isn’t the easiest start you could have -
I might well look into this like. Been in and around warehousing for the better part of a decade and may as well put the experience to some better use

I work near Ramage. Maybe we can meet in the middle with our packed lunches

If you’re going to be in Halkidiki, I’ll just have a lend off you, cheers

I’ve seen IPCRESS File but never read it. I’m going to trawl eBay and wherever else
-
Already done Maltese Falcon but I might get it to read again and do some others in the series. Definitely into my spy fiction as well and almost bought Spy Who Came in From The Cold so may combine that and Funeral in Berlin. Cheers chaps, I think that’s probably enough for two weeks
-
Read the first two and loved them also but I’m not sitting round the pool, blasting out a 700+ page epic, my friend
-
Those sound right up my street, cheers. As for Bob’s book, I read it over Xmas last year and enjoyed it well enough for a first time novel. Hope he has another one in him. Piranesi sounds like a class concept so I’ve put that on the list. Mind, the genre tags weren’t iron-clad, I just wanted to clarify some things before people waded in with 900 page high fantasy nonsense and shite autobiographies

Didn’t realise they novelised Airplane

Right, off to Greece for two weeks in two weeks TODAY so give me some holiday recommendations. So far I’ve got Elmore Leonard - Riding the Rap Glen David Gold - Carter Beats the Devil Dorothy Hughes - In a Lonely Place Neil Andrews - Zaire ‘74 So, that’s the kind of thing I enjoy. Any noir, thriller/mystery set in southern American states and non fiction about football. Have at it

Love how the depth of our collective depravity means that it’s been a good decade and we’re still remembering new nonsense to spring on each other
